But while Mr. Limbaugh has been accepting apologies lately – Michael Steele, the Republican national chairman, drew much scorn from Democrats by recanting his description of Mr. Limbaugh as a mere “entertainer” who made incendiary and sometimes ugly remarks – Gov. Paterson said he was hardly sorry to see him go.

“If I knew that would be the result,” he said after a speech Thursday morning in Midtown, “I would’ve thought about the taxes earlier.”

It's a shame that Mr Limbaugh's heart and brain aren't as large as some other parts of him

Limbaugh gets it and is able to connect the dots. They have an unelected, illegitimate Governor in NY who couldn't connect the dots with a straightedge and magic marker who owns his position to the hooker problems of the former democrat Governor.

The reflexive action of leftists is to raise spending and raise taxes anytime for anything..even in a major recession. Patterson is infected with the very same disease....just like the Marxist O'Bomber and the leftist democrat Congress.

Bloomberg, a lifelong democrat who changed his party affiliation to get elected finally gets it. He's saying the NY City payroll budget needs to be cut along with other spending cuts.

Bloomberg, like Limbaugh understands that about 35,000 residents pay about 50% of the taxes there...out of a population of about 8,000,000, 35,000 pays about 50% of the taxes.

The problem with leftists is they don't have a clue about cause and effect. They're intellectually incapable of looking around at the depressed areas of America and making the connection these are areas under leftist democrat control...like Detroit, like Michigan, like Chicago, like IL..which should be ILL not IL , like LA, like California...just for instance.

WHEN YOU'VE RUN OFF ALL THE PRODUCTIVE MEMBERS OF YOUR SOCIETY BY TREATING THEM LIKE SHEEP TO BE SHEARED...TAXED AND REGULATED TO DEATH, THEY VOTE WITH THEIR FEET, LEAVE AND YOU'VE DESTROYED YOUR TAX BASE. THAT LEAVES MOSTLY NON TAXPAYERS WHO HAVE HAD THEIR HANDS OUT TO GOVERNMENT ALL THEIR LIVES CLAMMORING FOR MORE HANDOUTS.

AT THAT POINT, CHAIR WARMING, BLOVIATING LEFTISTS GO INTO MARXIST SPEAK, POINT FINGERS AND CALL THE PRODUCTIVE CLASS...GREEDY. HOW DARE THEY REFUSE TO STAND STILL AND LET LEFTISTS PLUNDER THEIR PRODUCTIVE OUTPUT?

Limbaugh has it right. I'm surprised he didn't leave NY sooner since the handwriting has been on the wall there for many years.
