how about installing clothes lines in your backyward? great! for people with backyards. but what about people living in apartments? will their apartment look chinese from outside? http://laundrylist.org/ quote:

FN3 7) Conserve energy and the environment, while reducing climate change. FN4 6) It is moderate physical activity which you can do in or outside. FN5 5) Sunlight bleaches and disinfects. FN6 4) Indoor racks can humidify in dry winter weather. FN7 3) Clothes dryer fires account for about 15,600 structure fires, 15 deaths, and 400 injuries annually. The yearly national fire loss for clothes dryer fires in structures is estimated at $99 million. FN8 2) Can be an outdoor experience that is meditative and community-building. people who live in apartments can always dry inside if they don't want to be mistaken for those backward chinese (or whatever group you consider ignorant and less-than-sophisticated).clothes hung dry 1)smell great 2)seldom need ironing, its true! however it is still the industrial energy users who create the most pollution and use the most juice. My winter bedding is hanging on the line to dry for summer storage as I sit here The bending over to retrieve sheets from the basket is great exercise and the wonderful scents are bonus`s to the conservation of energy. My mom used to have a clothesline. She eventually got with the program and bought a dryer.------------------ "All deaths are suicides, do you realize that? Every single one. Yep, that's where shop towels really come from...and I've contributed my share. Look at it this way Randall. My way is the "green" way. There's no... alkyl sodium sulfonates napthas Phenols Phosphates Sodium hypochlorite ethylene-diamino-tetra-acetate or synthetic chemical whiteners released into the surface water or ground water from washing clothes.
