Baby

Oh, little One
A fragile spark of Life
Never to be engulfed in flame
Perched on a Payless shoe box
Missing your mother
No substitute am I

...but I Loved you

Abandoned and lost
Fed foreign food
And kept isolated
For your own safety
Just for a little while
Until you are strong enough to leave
And I, tortured by your loneliness
Waiting for the day
You can fly away

...because I Love you

Alas, your wings will never soar
On Earthly winds
Nor will you perch on power lines
Like your brothers and sisters
Or taste the misty rain upon your face
For death stole you away
When I wasn't looking
And left me with the pain
That never heals
But this day
And every day
You'll soar on wings among the Angels
And fly toward a Sun that never fades

...and I will always, always Love you

My is heavy with tears...
I 'feel' your lose. I have no profound, enlightened words to give you...ONly know I share your pain.

Randall...I understand

Randall~

I know nothing can be said to ease the void little Baby has left in your space, but like your poem says, Baby lives on in your heart ... and now in ours ...

Bless you Randall, for protecting the Babe till it was time to go

Bless you for sharing your pain and loss with us. Bless you for your compassion and love. You are forever watched over and loved; you know this. Just as all you love are watched over as well, including little Baby.

My good thoughts hover over you like starlings.

That touched me very deeply, what you wrote and I know the pain of losing a dear animal when you try to keep them alive with love.

Your Poem made me cry.

That was truly beautiful Randall. As I sit here typing through a veil of tears, I know that without a doubt, Baby knows how much you loved him and will return to you someday, but for now he is content to fly through the rainbows in your (and our) heart.

my compassion weeps with you as if my very soul reveals within your sorrow.....i truly feel the clenching of your breath that has been stolen from you.....but as you look into the night sky you may see a twinkle...an ever so slight whisper maybe heard.....an "i love you, too.....light...light...golden,white light, for i am now.....for all to see....................."
may peace and grace...for your pain be with you through your journey, they call life.....
