Spin me another tale
wrap me in your leaves
brush me with your tender breath
I love the webs you weave.
Surrender seems a longing now
a painful tightening grasp
but pinched with red and pink and white
this soulful frightening task.
I tasted you so briefly,
but remembered tongues are sweet.
I only think about you now
when I am longing for a treat.
But what is it that makes me stall?
This torturous human waterfall
Emotions, only physical?
Reactions, purely typical?
But you are, underneath it all
so wanted
and still........

my heart calls only sometimes
It's dormant after sunrise
You're the realest illusion
I could conjure.
But if I could really choose,
if I could win this time, not lose...
Of course,
the fantasy adds fun
I like that I'm the only one
that can take you to the heights you've missed
with imagined magic fingertips
and lips that only felt heat once
and nowhere near the place you'd wished

I accept renewed surprise
I accept your lullabyes
I accept the roles we've chosen,
tales unwrapped,
our words beholden
I accept that sometimes lies
are all that's left when something dies
I accept that love's receipt
is mostly truth but in deceipt
So this eve
as I lay me down
or prop up the pillow
no sleep to be found
I will once again conjure you
Your image again trying not to intrude
I will purge your face
this I accept
I will kiss you deeply
'til I am out of breath
And maybe then you will go on your way
And try not to wonder how it would feel today
until the next night comes again
I hope you are sleeping well,
my friend.

It seems to me that you have found a way to channel your Scorpio self through your fire asc. Throw in a Merc. in Libra and there you have a Pixelpixie.

And... I love that about you. You poetry is inspiring.

Yin is right, pixel. You're Scorpio comes out in your song. I read an awful lot of poetry and your rhythm reminds me of someone but I can't think who. It's on the tip of my tongue. It'll come to me eventually. In the mean time, just wanted to say that this one and "so" are really quite something. Thank you for sharing with us.

Oh gosh! *gush*
Thanks.. that was very nice to read.
I like the description of Yin's.. very nice!

You know, one doesn't have much opportunity to share songs/poetry in regular life, so to share such potent things for our hearts and spirits is like stretching out on a cliff... I am glad this forum exists and all the positive feedback. It's nice not to fall... and to read and feel everyone else's spirits too.

Powerful and well-written...I'd like to write more rhyme poems myself as well. I would say this piece of work is quite amazing

Pixie... I really love this one! It could be my favorite of all the Pixie stuff I've read so far. Love the rhythm, especially this part:

quote:
my heart calls only sometimes
It's dormant after sunrise
You're the realest illusion
I could conjure.
But if I could really choose,
if I could win this time, not lose...
