Moon rays light your face
Reveal their colors and I'm amazed
See, I've heard there are no such things as angels
But I don't know that anymoreSomehow, some way the grasses move
Brush past the wind to be near you
They're drawn to the light that marks your graciousness
And part of me is drawn there too So what is heaven
If not like mornings spent with you?
And where's my faith to rest its weariness
If not upon an angel's breast..an angel such as you?
There's no poverty in your company
Only tender lullabies and dreams
The sort a star might lead the way to on some ever after day
Just before the cover's closed
And eyes shut tight upon the world
Are filled with visions of you, girl
And though they tell me there are no angels
