When the eyes grow slow and heavy
and the filters turn their dusty cheeks to sleep
but the mind is still urging the body
brain stem boldly tugging the eyelids taut
The light washes differently
and words seem smooth as cream
I swallow their interest and intensity
guilelessly, dreamily
and with a passion filled pact
"I will remember you when I wake"
though you know those words are shallow
Mourning before the following morrow
I know you are lost
like that
lost like that thing that I had.. what was it?
I fail in the fading light
the words seemed so right
only seconds ago....
This love affair with words has me gasping sometimes
feeling the rhymes and the way they wash all over me
with perfect synchonicity
just where I needed them to be
ordained like thoughtless destiny
And I grasp them
thin ribbons rolling through these nimble fingers
where once discovered, they somehow linger
when I place them down, like this.
sealing paper with pens' kiss.
Ink the lifeblood pact
paper giving something back
words dancing eternal on papyrus
need an equal, pliant stylus.

Pixie, what was I just saying about you lining up the words from the dictionary in the last Masterpiece? http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum17/HTML/000565.html

Synchonicity? I think so!

Right, now to mull over this heavenly dictionary envoked lexigram..

Exactly! "I will remember you when I wake" - that's precisely what it is!

My dreams merge almost seamlessly ~ so craftily intricate, I cannot decifer at times.

The only thing is I never captured the dawning realisation before, quite like you've done it

Please Publish Pixie ~ there - some alliteration just for you!
