Hiya, yeah, she was in Smashing Pumpkins....
Has this new song which my friend sent to me called "Taste You' which he said reminded him of me too... hee hee.... I know, that sounds bad.. but I guess it's that naughty thing......
She's Canadian? Why didn't I know that?
Or am I thinkig of the wrong person.. although that name is pretty hard to confuse....

hey girls- you're both right, she was in both bands. With Hole for years and then with Smashing Pumpkins only in the last year they were together - she is an amazing bassist. It's interesting that the Pumpkins have had 2 female bassist, they are quite rare I find. Plus Melissa is so cool because it's definitely hard to find a bassist/lead singer!
Pixie- I LOVE Sarah Slean, have you listened to her new album?
Oh yeah, and Melissa auf der Maur is Canadian- she was born and bred in Montreal.
