Spewing out from the under skin
Seeping toxins cloud the air
As the vision spins and the throat shudders
She proceeds beyond ailing care

Deep inside the nostalgic gape of illness
Nurturing attention memories abound
Waning in the recent span
Maternal instincts void

Crying softly as she self-relies,
Bemoaning her slip between life’s cracks,
When the door brings the longed for aiding face
She’s half-done; needs no one’s last-ditch act
