Staring far away at some distant dream of me
In a daze, in a daze, in this hazy maze
Speechless, dreamy and waiting for a sign
Empty tears stream from this deep blue gaze
Oh why am I always lost and drowning
Tossed by my emotion’s merciless waves?

Why must I yearn
To Know the glimmering stars?
To hear the voices of angels and?
To sing from my repressed heart?

You say “get real”, I laugh at the irony (hypocrisy)
How can one sleeper wake up another?
No what I need is one awakened soul
Not a thousand dreaming sisters and brothers (others)

Make me feel the miracles….
Of science, lust and greed
And maybe I’ll think about
Adopting your overrated creed

Sometimes I too march with the band
The harmony can be too much
For even I to withstand
But not willingly,
No not by my will
I swear I’m just a foreigner
I don’t understand the thrill!

Oh don’t smile at me! Hey that tickles!!
Stop it! Dreaming is not fun to do!
It’s fake! Fake smiles, fake laughs
But are my wistful ideals truth?!!
I want to fly high in celestial bliss
So would you let go of my shoes!!!!
Alright! Okay you win! Because secretly,
I long to share this Dream of me
With someone who’s Real like You!

I was really emotional last night when I wrote this. I haven't written any poems in a long time, so I'm a bit rusty. I hope you knowflakes like it
