This comes to pass as a stunner of kind Per chance it was not suspenseful as I had made it to be Yet there remains powerful validity For it was half of my making I chose to project an aura of skittish fluster Shoving the fraternal brothers away to avoid confronting major trust issues A wall of granite all to familiar I always scramble to fortify it long before I scout any dangers Persisting in the fantasy Transfering balme to the outside Contending their lack of effort to break it It makes them unworthy allies Hiding in my dank dark corner watching life go by Wallowing in oblivious sorrow Power confidence down to none Suddenly I lean over the wall Dismissing the guards at the gate Venturing a warm handshake to the fraternal crowd I am met with smiles of relief------------------ -K "Most people love with restraint As if they were someday to hate We hated gently, carefully As if we were someday to love"-Venus Trines at Midnight IP: Logged |

That's one of my favourites of yours! And I've nearly read them all. ------------------ "The dream was always running ahead of me. To catch up, to live for a moment in unison with it, that was the miracle." Anais Nin IP: Logged |

BlueMoon, thanks !SunChild, thank you...your comment means all the much more, having seen the range of poetry. Someday, I'll get my mauscripts published, and then everyone will see them in an organized fashion, hehe. to both of you for your responses... ------------------ -K "Most people love with restraint As if they were someday to hate We hated gently, carefully As if we were someday to love"-Venus Trines at Midnight IP: Logged |

I also have alot of journals. I tried to publish somethings, but not very hard. I can't handle the rejection when it comes from my heart. HOW DARE YOU REJECT MY HEART! lol IP: Logged |

Hehe, BlueMoon, I hear ya on not liking the rejection of stuff from the "heart"...it's hard enough putting your heart open out there for the world to see in print to begin with. SunChild, I'm gonna start putting some serious work into getting them published. I've already got a manuscript together for my 2001-2003 poems, now it's a matter of grouping the more recent ones... I am a profuse writer, as it's my cheap form of therapy, ...! IP: Logged |

I know what you mean about it being a form of therapy! I read up on that site you posted in FFA about getting accepted into alpha kappa psi, (hope that's right!) and well, I've never heard of those fraternity things before, I don't think we have them in Australia, it seems a like a big thing in the US, and I thought it was just for boys! What do you do there? ------------------ "The dream was always running ahead of me. To catch up, to live for a moment in unison with it, that was the miracle." Anais Nin IP: Logged |

Glad to hear we're in the same boat on the poetry "therapy" bit, LOL...It really feels cleansing.Bummer that you don't have fraternities down in Austraila... They are such a positive networking opportunity, and besides, an excellent way to meet other ambitious people, as well as polish professional skills. For example, my co-ed frat is a professional fraternity, so there isn't all that hard-partying nonsense that you get with the social fraternities and sororities...much calmer people, who still like to have fun, but more responsibly. As far as AKPsi goes, well, we've allowed women membership since 1976, and we have chapters all across the States, and a few over in England...you should put a bug in the ear of anyone you know in college over there to petition to organize a chapter...it would be awesome! ------------------ -K "Most people love with restraint As if they were someday to hate We hated gently, carefully As if we were someday to love"-Venus Trines at Midnight IP: Logged |
