the plan i mean
that brought me to your door

as we all lounged in your backyard. and now the heartstrings that lead
back to your room
have stretched so far, run round
in so many circles
all a maze
of you since i met you last
saw you last
so many summers ago. but here you are
still in my heart
your resting place
like the moon in the night sky
never really disappears
wherever you happen to be all the stars twinkling
in unison
singing their song of you
to me. rest you now
