This is the first song that I wrote, and was proud of. I wrote it in 1991 or 1992, so it's been awhile.

A Fine Act

A fine act indeed
A young girl in need of
The respect of fools
More foolish than herself
In all of her curious way
Containing her furious rage
She seems to be in control
Forever scared that someone may know
The fear that lurks inside her
The passion that forever hides here
Nobody know of her own private world
And she fears that no one wants to

Oh to be free
To live life passionately
And to learn to love
And to learn to have fun
She wants much more than this
She wants much more
She wants to be out of control
She wants the whole wide world to know
The fear that lurks inside her
The passion that forever hides here
Nobody knows of her own private world
And she fears that no one wants to

Well, the tempo could be any really, but the way I hear it in my head is as a bit of a punk song actually with electric guitars. Of course it can be, and mostly has been, played on acoustic.
