The words seem to burn in my throat just before I say them properly
so instead I render the same spewed ones we've gone over a thousand times before
and hope this time, based upon inflection
you'll hear what I really mean
based upon reflection
It seems I am unseen
still
I hope against all
this wall
will develop a will of its own
build its own window
from the parts that I've shown
or a vine
I can climb
that will carry the weight
that seems to be ever increasing
with the questions in my soul
growing more vacant
or full.. I can never tell
growth tends to make me unwell
when I lean on the unseen
so much I believe in the dreams
I have yet to make
and the tolls I have yet to take
I am inspired now
to go against the sputtering
the starts and stops of my muttering
the excuses aren't viable
any more than I am liable
for the things I haven't said
