Tink, if I close my eyes and listen to music, colors naturally appear on my mental screen as if the colors are music. It's so hard to describe. My own sister used to write her music that way.
With words it's like a spark I get, I thought it was an eye problem once, but when I started acknowledging it being not a problem and started paying attention, they became more frequent, it's not like evey word I read though. Again that's hard to explain, but I think I posted a thread on it once when I thought it was an eye problem. They come in all different colors now.
With people it's obviously auras, but I don't see everyones auras, mainly people I'm close to for some strange reason. I see my partners everyday, my friends, and myself. It's like my eyes are tuned to seeing their's frequently rather than strangers. I've only been practising for a little while.
But it's funny, my partner comes home, before I see him I see a blurr of color, knowing what kind of day he had. We are very close so I guess that helps.

I don't know, does that make sense?

Yes, it does make sense. Oddly, I was briefly discussing this phenomenon with a friend a few days ago. Like I said, it's quite rare. So a first hand account would be nice. If you care to share even more.

There is a word for the ability, but I wasn't sure of the spelling so I wandered off to check. Look what I came back to. Fayte beat me to it.
