I'm sure there are plenty out there. I've only looked a little at the Olympus site, and their latest look good.IP: Logged |

My first DIGITAL camera was a Kodak easyshare C530 and I was quite please. The Kodak did not EVER take a bad pic but the thing was I did not like that it did not have a zoom and it ate the lithium batteries like there was no tomorrow and at bad times. SO of cousre I began looking for a camera that had a zoom and a rechargeable battery after having it for a month and a half.I researched and choose the Canon SD 630 it was 299 plus I got a free photo printer. I am sooooooo very pleased with my Canon. The difference between this and other digi cameras is its ability to shoot in very low light is phenomenal. It is the only one on the market right now that has slow synch and can shoot in very low light. This camera IS well worth the the money I have invested and I am pleased as pie. Take a look for yourself... MY CANON GALLERY EDIT: This digi camera also has a kick ass lil camcorder on it. And it has features where you can tweek the photo by changing to b&w, sepia or vivid color. Also adjust can exposure times. This little camera rocks balls I am telling you, auto or manual can't go wrong. IP: Logged |

I saw this this morning. Think a Sag is driving? I was a little surprised when my flash went off. I usually leave the flash turned off. IP: Logged |

Future--I have a Nikon Coolpix--mid range pixels, forget at present and am work, can't look until I get home. The first and last pics I posted I took with it. Bought it with a rechargable battery and charger several years ago for around $400.00. I LOVE the little thing. I also have an old Cannon 35 mm that I bought when I was 18-many, many years ago, and while I like the custom features that enable you to tweak the photo, I like the digital features in this day and age of computers. I have not used the old 35 mm for a while. I have a Sony cam corder and am equally happy with it. My cell phone is a Sony-Erickson. Good luck shopping!! IP: Logged |

Thanks AG, Hippichick and Zingi.I'll check out that Cannon first. The one I have now is a Cannon, so I'm quite familiar with the settings, etc. I love my camera, just time to upgrade. I also like what you said about taking pics in low light. This is a MUST for me as, like AG, I prefer not to use my flash. Currently when I'm photographing in low light I use the action shot setting. How do the rest of you do it? Always looking for some good tips. Hippichick, I'll check into your recommendation as well. I muchly appreciate your (speedy) responses! Happy Snapping! IP: Logged |

I wish my camera did better in low light. My only trick is using the timer and a tripod. Both allow me to keep the camera absolutely still as long as the shutter is open. IP: Logged |
