I'M THE TOUGHEST(bar room brawler)A boy he sit's on a cream stand He wait's there every morning, For his father to pick him up On a blue ford, model t truck, No one will come this morning His father's just passed away, He is waiting, singing to himself And kicking his feet away, I'm still waiting for you dad To drive around that corner, I'm missing your lollies The long drive in your truck, But since youv'e been gone Time's have really been tough, And i've hurt so many people You said never give up,never give up son, Never give up.

*bump* for RAINBOW WARRIOR.How many days ago did I read this? It's still with me. What I love the best is the way the title plays on the poem. This one has a very distinct feel to it. IP: Logged |
