(for public wörks)

Lines appear
Every place
On the roads and the walls
And the signs in my face
And I wonder
If in God we trust
What's with all the control?

If freewill's the winner
And fate's a freak
And we live what we choose
Cuz we choose what we seek
Then tell me
Who chose this week after week
Of the same old sh--
With so little to show for it?

Somedays I think about it
When I'm willing to face the pain
These days
I mostly try to go with the flow
But the empty routine
Of society
Has me wondering if we're free to go?
No. We can make decisions
But the river still decides where we go

Po-lice pulls up
Next to me
When the officer eyes me
Suspiciously
I wonder
Am I breaking a rule
And don't even know?
Black and white moves
Up the street
Relaxing I breath a sigh of relief
And wonder
How in a free society
They justify paying strangers to hassle me?

You can go against the current
If you're willing
To take the pain
Most days
It's safer just to go with the flow
Take the hit for security
Or simply choose to let it all go
Either way you figure it
The river still decides where we go

I know
The river still decides where we go
I'm caught in the stream
The river will decide where we go
But is everything decided for me?
You may think this sounds crazy
I'd rather live life free than safely...

So truthfully raw, Daf. I like the way you wrote that, almost like you were breathing out an exasperated sigh.. it ran beautifully I think. It strikes a chord with me, and with many I'd imagine. I like this in particular;
