I fall awake in this dreamless sleep
Placing jewels on your red stained lips

Don’t hope, don’t wish, don’t hesitate
Your smile is the first and last breath I take
I’m filled with a happiness unexplained

You think ‘I know what he is going to say next’

And just when I start to write ‘There’s nothing better than…’

You shut me up by saying....
‘I love you’
