Of course she is one of my favorite artists(when I paint I mimic her style). She had a hard life with the bus accident, I felt so sorry for her because she was in so much pain most of her life...Diego Rivera was also an excellent painter/muralist but a rat for constantly cheating on her...her comfort was mostly morphine and tequila  They have her painting of the model Dorothy Hail at the Phoenix Art Museum(the one where she is jumping off a building)kind of a gruesome painting. Frida had a weird sense of humor, when the model(Dorothy Hail) committed suicide in the 1930's, Dorothy's mother wanted Frida to paint a portrait of her daughter to remember her by, when Frida painted a picture of her actually suicide Dorothy's mom was utterly horrified by it, she thought Frida was being cruel. But that how Frida was...strange.------------------

I also fancy artist Amedeo Modigliani, the french painter and was also the sign of Cancer...but he's a different story  Damn I miss my art history class.------------------

Ya know, the whole time I was learning of Frida I kept thinking this girl HAD to of been an Aqua---then I was even happier to find out she is a Cancer with a VERY active 11th house!!!IP: Logged |

Wonderful woman  I watched a film about her and fell in love with her strong and passionate nature.

I like Frida Kahlo as well as Diego's work and story.p.s. some people say the picture of the woman falling out of the window is a painting of Virginia Hill, Bugsy Siegel's mistress. IP: Logged |

It's not Virginia Hill(I read the story of Virginia and Ben, very torrid synastry serious opposition). It was of the depressed and heartbroken Dorothy Hale, she is wearing her Madam X dress in the painting. One might say a mocking from a fellow 'friend' about the dress only provoked her more into committing suicide.------------------
