once upon a time
in this space
there was a mystical rhyme
of love and waste
there were mystical doings
and magical signs
synchronistic knowings
guidance from the divinemusic and soul songs
deep inner knowing
of places within
that can't help showing Growing and learning
and soul searching and seeking
suspicion and desire...
acceptance that's fleeting. Once upon a time
held in the arms of poem,
of love song and words
evoked from the ethers two friends found each other

I want a lover...
I want a lover
to reach out
and massage my neck and shoulders
to hold my head against his chest
while I cry little mouse sobs
and little mouse tears
to say ohhh, its ok, its ok...
and rub the frowny, crinkly part of my forehead
between my eyebrows and above my nose
to tilt my face up and tell me with his eyes
that it is all a game and my mouse tears are silly
to hold me closer and conceal his grin
when I bury my face in his chest
and sob giant dramatic sobs
and cry giant dramatic tears
to wait until I am almost done
and then turn my face again towards his
to look at me sternly and say
Now you can handle this,
and I am right here to help you
to answer my Buts
and WhatIfs
by saying
Let's talk about it and come up with a solution
to listen to me talk,
and stroke my hair,
and make love to me,
and make me tea
and breakfast cereal with sugar and milk

Am I dying?
The pain is intense
But I’m not even crying…
So this is the end the culmination
the destination all this to get HERE?
Maybe I should have given in to fear
A long time ago So where to next, God…
Got another beating in store for me, Father?
Should I accept it and keep trying
Or not even bother Complete devastation
The blessing?
I’m numb.
No one will notice
