Well since face-mapping has become such a staple in the VG design firms, I decided to go back to the roots of it all and see if I can create an animated character using the facial features of someone I know.

A good friend of mines decided to volunteer her oh so gorgeous features for the Job Lol!

So this is her gorgeous self:

And this is her Immortilized in Watercolours Lol!

Not too shabby if I do say so myself. Kinda comes off as a disney work doesn't it?

Ooooh Xodian...

Well, the art looks great. It really looks good.

I don't know how to put this delicately, but let's just say I hope your source of inspiration enjoys what you took from her look.

Maybe you misunderstand me. I'm trying to say politely that I don't think the artwork matches the inspiration, so I'm hoping your muse/model isn't upset that it doesn't truly look like her, though the art does look really good on it's own.

Ah I see . Actually Acoustic itsnot ment to totally look like her. Animated versions of people never usually do (unless you go for the EXACT face all togather; E.g. Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.)

But thanks for the input .

Its GORGEOUS, X. Wish you were my artist boyfriend right now She would be crazy if she didn't love it.

I had a boy artist draw me as a Super Hero once. *blush* I still have it and a few random scribbles (um AWESOME scribbles) that he did on slips of paper. And he wasn't even my boyfriend or love interest. He was just amazingly talented. Just like you, X. Keep on keepin' on.

Well that put an even bigger impish grin on my face Lol! Thanks a million Melody. Oh coolness about the guy who drew you as a superhero. If you can, can you scan those sketches and put them here in this forum?

If you promise not to hold your breath, X!
I'll have to brave the dust and spider webs that surround my scanner, find a way to plug it in among the snake pit of cords below my desk/table, and search in two different lost lands of mementos to discover where the art is currently living. Someday before I leave LL, hehe
I used to have the large (8x10) sketch on my wall, but it wasn't framed at the time. If I find it, I will frame it. I just saw one of the smaller sketches recently when I was searching for other lost memories. I'll keep ya updated.

Too late dor that I am afraid; Think I am already going blue here with the lack of air Lol!

Actually, no pressure at all babe . I just like to see other people's renditions of comic and animated characters; There are so many different styles, unique to each person so one never gets bored looking at em Lol!
