RedThe changing Leaves And The chill In the air Makes me Think of you The Warm glow Of Red In the dark In the Early morn Revealing Your silhouette Your form Beside me Though it is Red Like autumn Outside the Mortared walls Here With you Is Comfort Peace It feels So sweet In Your arms And When you Are Wrapped Around Me And I Do not want I do not need For I have All I have Everything Though it is Chilly Though The Sky is Red Though The stained Leaves Fall I am Happy

Thanks guys! I wrote those words on an envelope.I was just laying around with my sweetie who had fallen asleep and it was so gloomy outside but for red leaves waving in the window and a weird red sky. FreindInSpirit, so glad to restore your faith in red! Whats your fav color? Maybe the gods of poetic words will strike me with a line or two of inspiration to write a little something about it. BTW, I sent an email about your experience and didn't receive anything. Did you get my email? IP: Logged |

HA! My favorite color is "periwinkle" Yes, for real Periwinkle is a desaturated color in the blue/indigo/violet family. Its name is derived from the lesser periwinkle or myrtle herb (Vinca minor) which bears flowers of the same color. This is a life-giving plant whose components are used in the treatment of cancer. Periwinkle is also called lavender blue. It may be considered a pastel indigo. The first recorded use of periwinkle as a color name in English was in 1922. Crayola introduced it to the public officially in 1949 and it now ranks #7 in popularity of crayon color it's attributes are said to be serene, purity, infinity. email.. um, nope but I'll go peek now.... be right back.
update: Email received, and I'll reply as soon as I find some quiet time I'm a momma of 3 and work fulltime so hang in there, LOL! ------------------ Sendin' love your way, "your friend in spirit"

Thanks for the compliment. I just like to write silly ditties in general and also just jot things down when life gets too heavy. I feel it clears my mind when I do it. I have written 3 childrens books in rhymes and have been trying to find a company to produce them. It is so costly. Ironically, one of the books is based on a color which was my fav as a child, its called "My Purple Crayon" (Almost Periwinkle! ) IP: Logged |
