*******edited to say here is the new thread http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum17/HTML/001644.html
I meant to ask for broader content, any "art" means ANY art (painting, photography, sketches, poetry, prose, even amazing advice)
so ignore this thread for submission, but use if for discussion of course.
*************************************

I'm going to resurrect one of my own to start this thread off.

Fear wears a costume
A child
on a chilly fall evening
Pretends to be
A powerful magician
A superhero
Or a villain

He doesn’t need you
To hold his hand
But his world is ominous
He jumps at every shadow
Starts at the natural sound
of a dog barking
or a car starting

He would run
Into the road
To escape

So, love holds his hand

Who would like to take home this lovely lilac Bullsh*t Artist Award? It wont get dusty on a shelf somewhere. It can be displayed proudly, flying High in one's front yard.

No. I'm sorry my dear.
But you are not anywhere even close to qualifying for that award.

Please take this stuffed animal talking llama,
for your 'Kindness to (us) Animals', instead.

no, no awards... just post some favorite past poems/art that are buried in this thread.

I know you have one or two...

forgive my downbeat, I feel tired and my "world is ominous" today

I will erase this later and post a nice long lost favorite poem from someone here instead.

I think I'll watch movies and do laundry all day. A Virgo taught me that. She just said outloud "I look forward to Sunday because I can get my laundry done while relaxing and watching movies." What a magical way to make you look forward to doing your laundry.
I watch judge shows when I do dishes. When school gets too stressful and I need a mental break, I look forward to doing dishes and cleaning the kitchen so my mind can veg on the judge shows. I've never liked daytime soap operas.

Oh, you guys posted like three more times while I was struggling through that post I wrote.

I was only responding to the b.s. award... I don't want to relive the AWARD experience.

Now I have to post 3 poems or make a new artist thread too much work

juni,

Sorry, MM. I know, it wasnt meant to be an awards thread but I found a great smiley site and got a little silly and carried away.

There is another favorite artist of mine here that i'd like to acknowledge...trying to figure out how i'll do so...

Hope the beats of your day pick up soon.

Nice thread, btw.

(The point of the thread wasn't clear to me after your first post, so I went with a possible literal translation of the thread title. Hence I, as a "Favorite LindaLand Artist" [presumptuous, I know], tributed "Thread.")

Also a tribute can be something given, done or created as an expression of esteem.

I edited the top of this one and made a better thread

I thought for a minute you were giving me the b.s. award. Today is scary. Sorry. I know you weren't, it was only a split second.

I feel the need to keep explaining myself although I also know I should quit talking and "getting it on you".

I know you me. Go back to your happy conversation and I'll put my wet blanket in the dryer. (See, MENTAL laundry )

AG, I don't even know you what you mean. But if you are saying you thought I started the thread to tribute myself as a favorite LL artist you suck And now you see what I MEANT to say on the new thread.
I just wanted to resurrect some poems and I thought this would be a nice way for everyone to participate and work together to bring the best one's back. That was one of my favorites of mine and it came to mind because of the situation. I saw some of HSC's and Pixie's while I was looking around and I know Dafremen has had some great one's too so I had intended to find a nice selection of good stuff and thought it would be easier with help.
