My dad and i were listening to this one earlier today. He loves her music. Everytime i hear her, i'll think of him now. Great song. Remember The Tinman http://youtube.com/watch?v=BksJ99wIuCw There are locks on the doors And chains stretched across all the entries to the inside Theres a gate and a fence And bars to protect from only God knows what lurks outside Who stole your heart left you with a space That no one and nothing can fill Who stole your heart who took it away Knowing that without it you cant live Who took away the part so essential to the whole Left you a hollow body Skin and bone What robber what thief who stole your heart and the key Who stole your heart The smile from your face The innocence the light from your eyes Who stole your heart or did you give it away And if so then when and why Who took away the part so essential to the whole Left you a hollow body Skin and bone What robber what thief Who stole your heart and the key Now all sentiment is gone Now you have no trust in no one Who stole your heart Did you know but forget the method and moment in time Was it a trickster using mirrors and sleight of hand A strong elixir or a potion that you drank Who hurt your heart Bruised it in a place That no one and nothing can heal Youve gone to wizards, princes and magic men Youve gone to witches, the good the bad the indifferent But still all sentiment is gone But still you have no trust in no one If you can tear down the walls Throw your armor away remove all roadblocks barricades If you can forget there are bandits and dragons to slay And dont forget that you defend an empty space And remember the tinman Found he had what he thought he lacked Remember the tinman Go find your heart and take it back Who stole your heart Maybe no one can say One day you will find it I pray IP: Logged |

To me life is always a movie or a song. I wouldn't mind some deep, wholesome, romantic musical action though. I can't think of many old movie favorites tonight for some reason.I've felt so tired today. I'll find a lullaby. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFOac8zybPE&feature=related IP: Logged |

My 12th House self denial tendencies needed a dose of this today(Plus I'm a sucker for the blues in any genre): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0u0AG_floQ "Only"
I'm becoming less defined as days go by Fading away And well you might say I'm losing focus Kinda drifting into the abstract in terms of how I see myself Sometimes I think I can see right through myself [x2] Sometimes I can see right through myself Less concerned about fitting into the world Your world that is Cause it doesn't really matter anymore (no it doesn't really matter anymore) No it doesn't really matter anymore None of this really matters anymore Yes I am alone but then again I always was As far back as I can tell I think maybe it's because Because you were never really real to begin with I just made you up to hurt myself [x2] I just made you up to hurt myself, yeah And I just made you up to hurt myself And it worked. Yes it did! [Chorus:] There is no you There is only me There is no you There is only me There is no ******* you There is only me There is no ******* you There is only me Only [x4] Well the tiniest little dot caught my eye and it turned out to be a scab And I had this funny feeling like I just knew it's something bad I just couldn't leave it alone, I kept picking at the scab It was a doorway trying to seal itself shut But I climbed through Now I am somewhere I am not supposed to be, and I can see things I know I really shouldn't see And now I know why, now, now, now I know why Things aren't as pretty On the inside Then these for a chaser to undo the damage done. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGUOAaH_mVw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhCoy54zT7g "..it's enough to make me cry, but that don't seem like it would make it feel better." - Jack Johnson IP: Logged |

I couldn't taint the beautiful full circle thread but here is my silly and fun response to some of the ideas presented. Aren't you glad you don't live in my head? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRJ-jjdEuxw And Daf, if you see this... I saw your response on the other thread and I want you to know that although I thought you were on a "permanent vacation" when you first came back to Wax (and dissed my Bard thread, dayyyyum), I am back to thinking your are deeply artistic and smart, with mostly the best intentions. hehe (We all have our not-the-best-intentions moments it seems...) love to all Happy Valentine's Eve to all and to all a goodnight.

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww ^I couldn't even watch one of them all of the way through. I guess my mind is a rather nice place after all... I would want to kill myself if I had stuff like that playing in my mind all of the time. I still haven't recovered from too much listening to the Pixie F#@%*rs Christmas Album when I was a teenager. I would type some but you wouldn't be able to guess what it was saying because there would be too many ****** #$%^%&$&&@. It suffices to say that it tainted many innocent Christmas songs and stole the beauty of them. My mind forever tries to replace some beautiful spiritual lyrics with disgusting filth. I feel sad about it from time to time (well, whenever it happens, it's been getting better but it takes mental training). A real loss of innocence. That's something else I think about in my quest to help troubled teens. It said that the above girl/band toured with Marilyn Manson in someone's comment. IP: Logged |

"I'm not the one who's trying to change you... There's something you need to change."What a hypocritical song, lol. It reminds me of nearly every New Age pretention out there; people deny anything that can have a negative connotation, but then they do it themselves, and call it something else, and they think that, because they have denied it, and renamed it, they arent really doing it. Bull. We are all trying to change eachother, whether we admit it to ourselves or not. Everything you put out there, you put out there for a reaction, and because you think it makes a difference; i.e. a CHANGE. Don't kid yourself. We are indeed in this together, and even the man who wishes to change himself makes frequent use of others to test his views, and to provoke him into seeing things in a different light. How we see things determines how we change, so, you cant just tell someone to change, you have to help them to see things differently. And you cant just tell them to change how they see things, and then think that you've done your good deed for the day. You have to actually contribute points of view. And those points of view have to withstand scrutiny; and, if you have not scrutinized them yourself, you may be shocked and taken aback by the scrutiny of others. You may even conclude that others are hostile towards you because they do not take a superficial view of your words, and simply accept your words at face value, surrendering their will to your authority. Its different for all of us, and its easy to look at someone who provokes us to scrutinize our views as "backwards". We think, if they dont simply agree with, and act on, our words, it is because they are purely disagreeable and resistant to change. But they may have as much to teach us as we believe we have to teach them. Some people make superficial changes all thru life, and some people prepare all life long for a real change. Everybody's journey is different, everybody is at a different point, and even this life is only one bend in the road. The man who walks up the hillside thinks about ascending, and has plenty of advice to give about ascending. But he forgets the valleys behind him, and does not expect the valleys ahead. He does not think of the path through the mountain, or the paths underground, but only thinks of himself, and the landscape that he sees just before him. When a man engages us, seeking to learn and to teach, we are pleased if he is at least somewhat in agreement with us. And, if he is not in agreement with us, we conclude that he has work to do off by himself, lol. The man who goes against the grain is the rarest, and the most needed to effect a balanced environment, but he is the one that everyone sees as "backwards". Every time he speaks, we think he is merely being defensive and/or antagonistic. When he does not settle for superficial answers, and challenges us to go deeper, or give more or ourselves, we conclude that he is merely dense and needy. But could it perhaps be possible that his truth, however different from our own, is valid, and that his contrariness and frustration are part and parcel of the journey of every "backwards" man. "The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable man persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man." ~ G.B. On the path by my place Passed a wagon, happily, With its sentient song - Its joyous country anthem. I'm off towards the ferry To disburden all my cart And carry through the very goal Of my humble labor's aims. To the mountain on horseback we go. To the mountain on horseback we go. I travail without repose So that I may one day marry And in this, if I succeed, I shall be a right guajiro. To the mountain on horseback we go. To the mountain on horseback we go. I'm a guajiro and wagoneer And in the country I live well Because the country is an Eden, Most sublime of all the world. To the mountain on horseback we go. To the mountain on horseback we go. Tend the forest, develop the plains, Harvest the fruit of your very own sweat. IP: Logged |
