(Another alliterative poem, about Nigella Lawson, UK TV chef).

Chestnut castanets with choucroute,
Parma provides pork panacea;
Silken sauces senses stir,
Gourmand's greatest elixir.
Rabbits and rarebits, rumpsteaks and ryebreads,
Seamless sonnets of seasoned samphire;
Creamed crustacean with crushed cranberry,
No uber-boiled cabbage for me;

Lolling lobsters long to levitate,
Drop dangerously into depths;
Parchment pastry pies protects,
Choreographed in circling context;
Aesthetic aspic freezes fruit
(No fondue forks to spoil the shoot);
Poems of poussin and partridge prevail,
Exquisite quinces and quail;
Apple aperitifs, asparagus spears,
No truculent tears for me;

Gourmet goddess, curse of crash-diets,
Bacchus babe; my horn of plenty
Stays me for better or for worse,
A glass half-full; rarely half-empty.

Very clever and well-thought out. Amazing!

Very sensual. Is the idea metaphoring Nigella's with her food?
Got like inuendos in there?

Not sure it's so much innuendo as just purely *food* sensual - but yeah, it is a pastiche of Nigella

It's very nice, but I don't have cable (don't know the culinary artIst) so it just leaves me with a vague sense of guilt over my current cooking skills...

A nice foil would be a Rachel Ray alliteration. Think loud, brash, fast, tuna casserole with herbs. lol

I have a weird sense of humor.
