Not that you need my advice, but I hear you.I completely understand this poem, my Scorp. Moon sometimes get's the best of me..and I find myself sinking into the same slumber you describe in your words... It sometimes feels endless I find myself either by my actions or words purposely tainting my surroundings..only to have my loved one's come to my rescue over and over..and perk me up... Maybe it's to see if I can still recognize goodness, and reasure myself I'm still alive... Hey didn't I say I was done rambling for the day..hehe It's just a temporary "funk" you'll come out of it.. Hugs, blessings, and all that.. IP: Logged |

Thanks. quote: purposely tainting my surroundings..only to have my loved one's come to my rescue over and over..and perk me up
I dont think I'm purposely tainting my surroundings. And what the hell are friends for, right? Lord knows, I listen and give comfort to my friends when they are down. Whether they express their pain dramatically, or more subtly, I pick up on it, and come to their rescue, time and again. We rescue each other, and life goes on. IP: Logged |

Yes I was thinking about this part...and just kind of reminded me, of me.. quote~ "i dont want to drain them
and i've nothing much to give them" I guess what I mean by "tainting" is others are always so caring and compassionate towards me, and here I am, with my big downer Scorpio Moon. It's crazy, when I am in a mood, I can seem to change the whole atmosphere, and bring everyone down around me...so obviously, it is important for me to change my thoughts frequently to positive ones...and try to give back more. Hopefully that makes sense.. Anyways that poem is very insightful, because I think your sign is so misunderstood at times...

Sometimes, the shift to more positive thoughts is easy, and ought to be encouraged. Sometimes, though, I think, it means forcing things, and creating more imbalance.Maybe it is my Venus in Scorpio... But sometimes nothing makes me feel more understood, less disoriented, than a little stark, unashamed darkness, honestly expressed. Its almost like, what really upsets me, and creates the most conflict, is when we all seem to have this desperate need to change the subject, and obsessively think positively all the time... Reminds me of those japanese businessmen you hear about, always smiling, smiling, smiling, and dying inside. The comedian David Cross said something brilliant, about how, if all they scheduled on t.v. was "Touched by an Angel", and stuff like that, he would probably go on a killing spree. If it wasnt for Kurt Cobain and Nirvana, I would have grown up even more alone. I'm not saying he didnt encourage my depression and anger somewhat, but, even so, he was the only real thing I could relate to, in a world full of happy meals, stepford wives, and japanese businessmen. At least, thats how it appeared to my scorpionic perspective. Bukowski depresses a lot of people with his worldview, but I read his poems with huge sighs of relief. People come to me with their problems, and they are so apologetic, so afraid to bring up these so-called uncomfortable topics. But, as a Scorpio, I dont really want to talk about anything else! I genuinely appreciate them coming to me with something real and meaningful. Even if it is dark and upsetting, still, it is real, and deep, and human. I just wish other people felt something like that for me. I know its not this way for everyone. For some people, its not natural to dwell on these heavy things, and thats fine. They can feel perfectly honest and real without the heavy, heady stuff. And thats great, for them. But I've got my own (dark) paths to walk. Thanks again. Yes, it is misunderstood.

It's a Scorp thing. You nailed it. Makes me think of one of my dear(?) Scorp friends. She may soon be a part of my past. (Just a heads up to Scorpios who think they're pulling one over on Sag: we know. And we have our reasons for keeping our normally big mouths shut, and it has nothing to do with fear.) This passive-aggressive, self-indulgent rant has nothing to do with my fellow LL'ers. This just struck a chord with me due to a personal issue... I enjoyed your poem, though. The last two lines were killer. mwah! IP: Logged |

HSC Sounds like those dark moments experienced by a Scorp...a kind of depth and intensity I seem to never comprehend. I've never been there. I have my dark, dark moments, too, but they seem somehow of a different sort... You are very articulate and artistic at expressing your idiosyncrasies, IMO. Happy holiday! D IP: Logged |
