This was written during a darker time in life...

Lost is the feeling
Of when you're trying
To get back to yourself
But the past conditioning
Haunts you like a shadow
And corrupting your true self
While destroying everything that is good
And all that matters

Lost is a situation
That needs to be taken
Back into control
From a shadow self
That really isn't true
To one's own being
Without the courage to be
The one that one is supposed to be

Lost is a battle
That rages within one's internal being
Fighting and struggling to keep
Or regain control of true self
Battling the darker self for the lighter self
Striving to be the one true to self
But hurting those you love
while battling the demons of conditioning
Of the past years of a messy life
To regain control of true self
And to love again...

Perfect. I can relate to that... yesterday. Or at least very recently. It's funny how you think you could never lose that faith again and then the Universe throws some Plutonic energy at you and you are destined "to fall at last in trembling fear
before the threat of Pluto's ominous tomb like silence
consumed by inconsolable sadness, and the bleakness of despair" as Linda says her poem, "Planet" in Love Signs. (That some fabulous poster posted for us in Soul Unions to remind us all...)

Yeah... Most, if not all, of us can relate to this in one way or another.

It is the conditioning of my past that needs to be confronted and dealt with in order to rise back up to where I belong again. Time, tearing down, and rising from the ashes like a Phoenix... Or like a magician transforming from the lesser to the greater...
