While outside in a sunshower once down south, I saw that I was standing that the end of a rainbow!!! Thankfully I was with someone, so i knew i wasnt dreaming. What a sight to behold. It touched down on the earth right in front of me. IP: Logged |

Deep unspeakable suffering may well be called a baptism, a regeneration, the initiation into a new state. George ElliotYou're searching, Joe, for things that don't exist; I mean beginnings. Ends and beginnings -- there are no such things. There are only middles. Robert Frost Reality is the beginning not the end, Naked Alpha, not the hierophant Omega, Of dense investiture, with luminous vassals. Wallace Stevens

One of the greatest sounds after a long winter is the birds singing in the morning... Even if they wake me up, I still smile... How many double rainbows did you see down in FL, T? I saw them all the time! The atmosphere was so crazy what with thunderstorms/sun every few minutes, so no big surprise! IP: Logged |

Yes, it's nice to be able to open up the windows and hear the bird songs again.Like you, I saw a TON of rainbows in FL. The skyscapes in general were really phenomenal. Don't you miss the little geckos running around everywhere? Yes, that's another part I'll miss; the daily thunderstorms. They'd come rolling through and quickly pass and it was as if nothing happened - sun beaming bright & paradise again! Well, in certain areas. One of the best things about living down there: being able to wear sandals everyday. And not needing to drive far to get to the coast where you could catch a gorgeous sunset just about every evening. Kat, it was pretty amazing! I was wide-eyed, mouth agape as was the person with me, saying 'omg, look!'. It was a shimmery mirage-like spectacle..."there", but not. Moving and alive. The raindrops coming down looked like diamonds as they caught the sunlight and danced through the transparent colors. The picture above gives you an idea. I'll never forget it! And yeah, I am part Irish! IP: Logged |
