Your drama perspective
can spot a gold nugget dressed as ash
red herring wearing a red-gold sash
your spectacle-believing thievery
of truth or common sense...
While here I sit, awash in-credulity
Perched up here on this fence.
Black and white are often true
But in between, lies, me and you
Lies may be, but disguises guide us.
Spider legs entwined, they spied it
to put an end to spoken rules
Rodeo clowns and queens so cruel.
I am to believe all these things?
Impassioned sure, like selfish means
But selfish does, from the hands that point
originate right from the broken joint.
This creativity needs a new direction
From fertilizer, the flowers grow
Although they won’t.
It seems like I care, I know...
but just so you know...
I don’t.

It was more wordplay- I was struck by all the drama people love to create, and how it just gets so tiresome sometimes....

I'm so glad you are still here and still writing poetry!
Did you end up pursuing writing as a career?

Hey pixelpixie! It's nice to see you perusing through the forums again...I think you and juni and BearsArcher are some of the few here that were here when I joined in Nov 2001.

Yes, the drama does get tiresome, I wrote a poem about that too.

I have not pursued a career as a writer at this time, but to be honest, it is still my one lifetime passion, and I do intend to find a way to share more with the world, perhaps publishing and the like.
