drinks
plenty

whisky
when the police
asked him
where he was
when the woman
was killed

said
he was out
drinking
but
i
doubt

preoccupation with grammar
wonder why people talk of truth
when they get drunk slightly
wonder why they make such a fuss
when they have had a beer or two
why they care for synonyms
for correct diction and grammar
and talk in the slurred drawl of Bogart
wonder why they talk of women
when they get drunk!
so this guy went
on and on
he had had a beer or two
i kept punctuating him timely

Hi taureau20... Didn't mean to actually call you "old"  --- Actually, I am the 'old-ish' one compared to others here... entering elderhood this year with my 2nd Saturn Return! *uber-dramatics*
Ooooooh! My life is just ooooover!! *wipes tears from her swollen eyes*
*thick snail-snot glistens as it glides down her upper lip*
*blows her nose noisily, wiping again and again as the dam tissue can't seem to get it all*
*her chin quivering... she bravely throws her head back, runs fingers through her hair, and composes herself*
*her dignity... is restored... she thinks?*

taureau20 ... I feel your excitement!! hmmm? zodiac sign of "taurus" maybe??... Expressing your love and interest through gifts, materials... This surely can be a special and excellent experience to be on the receiving end of attention like this.... But I hope for your sake that your girl turns out to be more than just a 'material girl'... Well we have a history and it is a painful one - I did wrong things and might just have to forever regret what I did and just how cruel I was. Sometimes you just don't see the other person....you just don't see. I remember there was this one time when she asked me 'did you love me even a little bit' - I had a clear image of a Great Thirst thirsting for a drop of water... and I reluctantly -- lying -- said yes and she said "ok" as though that great thirst were somehow quenched with a "drop" of a word. Oh well, I am in India and I am an Indian - it is the constant raining of all things American on our nation (and I presume everywhere else too) that makes me love so many American things such as movies etc. American soft-power is huge. She is herself a good writer - and I wrote her many poems - which is why I cannot write anymore - because she is my muse - if I cannot write to her then I cannot write - for we speak to one another through poetry and when we don't speak, there is no poetry....Oh well, long story.
