I'm trying to pay attention as miles scatter across scenery.Wheat toppling over softly, one after another each glorified tree stands caressing uneven- among quiet farms tucked away almost sleeping. Yet nothing can dazzle as others do, even with this beautiful preening all around. Sadness comes in spurts as distance spreads over crested valleys.

....You remind me of what it was like to be free and travel. When I used to travel by airplane, I would privately have a rise like a 'worship experience' within my soul. It was ecstatic spiritual feeling to me.I would be reminded of scriptures over and over. The scriptures overflowed from my heart. It was true intimacy for me. Intimacy and identity with the Beautiful Earth, and with my Beautiful Creator. I & Thee are One.... Every notice all the O's? The Circles of the Earth, and Sun. The very word One... Orbs. Intersecting orbs...of BEing. The dynamic 'lift' off the ground is always a rush of adventure and disbelief in me. All very amazing... The sheer "physics" of the thing!! BumbleBees. HummingBirds. Well, each time I see it, it's like I never believe it, then it still happens! The feeling is FREEDOM... of being set free. Sometimes we took off in rainy weather, but I'd always thrill to find that there were always crystal brilliant blue skies to greet me on the other side of grey cover.... There was always peace and absolute stillness in that blue above the clouds.
Amazing to watch the towers form out of the surface of clouds below. Right before my eyes if I watched intensely I could watch them boil up. I'd watch, and watch. The cloud solid layers beneath us could sparkle like diamonds on snow. They look solid, but were vapors of reality. I'd try to imagine angels trying to play harps... The towers, their instruments. Flying above the clouds I'd look down on the patches of farms and properties (over midlands). Pearlty, your descriptions of light and shadow on the grains, and the barns... It all matches. I could observe those shadows of clouds on these 'patchwork' lands, and I'd say to myself that 'those people' are experiencing a 'cloudy day'... and for some, their day also had 'the rain'... The essence of this impressed me so strongly-- That when we have the clouds, and the rain, that there's always a forever blue sky up above. There's always the Sun shining in full bloom on the other side of what covers our eyes. The rain and gloom.... are what we 'apparently' see. There's a 'whole other co-existing world' going on just beyond it. It's a relatively short distance beyond all that we immediately see. And, alas, we must take shelter from the very real physical storms with those very real lightning strikes. We must take care and be physically safe, but know it will eventually pass and 'reveal' a better day above. I believe in imagination. I believe in the hologram worlds of the science fiction 'holidecks'... Aesthetics-- right surrounds, right atmospheres-- help create nurture for psychological health, and physical vitality. And we KNOW that there is still the wood to chop and the water to carry... But O! The refreshing! Certainly, in the Futures, we need our Poets! Poeticians as part of the Space Travel Crews! Poets are Aesthe-ticians. Like safe Anestheticians, who help refresh and numb, yet make-alive all the inborn health that a body, mind, and soul can make. I Poets IP: Logged |

Of COURSE, there is Music!! How can I post in the Atmosphere of Creativity and NOT have MUSIC follow me..... O God, Thankyou for my life, for the Gift of Music, and Poetry of Poeticians -- (like Pearlty and all LL others I've met and not-met as yet!!)And Yes, of Course!!! I am under the influence of the Muses of Astrology as well as hard-ground reality of my mixy-situation... I am in my right mind... oh, AND the one that's Left too (joking).... Wonderful skies tonight and over the next astrological days! Let us ALL take this "oasis" in the Sea of Mighty Troubles and sudden Awakenings. Thou and I, Never Apart! Mirage, Thank you for that most wonderful in-flight imagery, your observations are stunningly beautiful! I haven't heard the term "poeticians" but I like that! I didn't get a chance to listen to the music yet, however my plans are to get out and catch some sunshine today..and I'll be sure to take the music with me. You asked where I travel? Lately when the opportunity arises just to my parents farm. They have a 130 acre spread nestled in the valley a couple hours from my home. In the few hours distance from here- I've noticed people walk slower, talk slower, drive slower, and live slower- so it's a nice change of pace for me. * Edited to add some photos. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150352878557528.374695.677542527&type=1&l=f60533fe71 Oh' and here is a link to my blog, I've had several over the years this one is mostly poetry with an occasional meandering thought here and there. Wow Pearlty! How nice... I can see where you and Faith (the one who posts here) would have a lot in common. The background of your website is so peaceful with that water and the woods. Saw your photos... Your 'beautiful eyes match your poetry'-- So clear and focused, intense, aware, and alive! And with two lovely daughters?... All so amazing. Saw you have authored TWO books. One of these days I will own them. (My life will have to settle down first.) Thankyou for liking my descriptions above... Guess you can say that I have seen with my eyes the things you describe and think about as you commune with nature below on your beloved family farm. Wow. And that's how it goes... Ups, downs, and the inbetweeners. (Are you late libra or early scorpio sun?) Those writings on Poetry that you leave on the other thread are sooo powerful. Do you have a PHD in some kind of literature or English...? http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum17/HTML/002703.html Oh gyiod, my grammar and punctuation is deplorable... It's been a VERY long time since any 'proper' education in English and writing. (I was getting ready to graduate high school the year you were born! Hey, I'm old enough to be your mother! ) (Extremely tough skies, astrologically for me. I know how you bridge two realities at once now. Those were there in place for you... How fortunate that you get to Live your dream!) Have a great retreat in those word-Harvesting Fields! Mirage,Thank you for the lovely compliments. I hope whatever tough spot you're in astrologically gets better for you. I know the feeling been "there" quite a few times myself. That seems to be when perseverance becomes the most formidable accompaniment to keep with one's self through those questioning tribulations. I can remember the feeling of being in the "eye of the storm" and tasting a morsel of that peaceful calm center, and thought ahhh.. I like this- more please! Let me rest and lull here for just a little while longer and gather strength- yet knowing full well, and regardless you have to keep trudging through..keeping your sights set on whatever aspiration is beckoning ahead, leading and guiding the way for oneself. Reminds me of this poem/prose... I've often explained it in terms of water- sometimes I'm sitting at the bottom of this massive sea- my toes are dug in the sand- my arms wrapped around my knees protecting me. Then something catches my eye above, a shiny light in which I think I can swim to. I slowly start ascending about half way up- I get ensnared by a net- agitated I work myself out and set myself free again. I float towards emergence, and it appears so tantalizing- I can't wait to get there- I break through that first ripple and finally--Air. I can taste, sense, breathe, and hear, and see with outer clarity again. I'm thinking how wonderful to skinny dip- playfully in this refreshing half-air, half-watery environment. Yet something bothersome still is toggling at my toes, giving a little downward tug below. I shake it away with a twist. It gurgles and makes its slow descent and I'm happy to see it falling backwards within depth-some, shadows underneath. Surfacely now the world gasps anew with life, seeing is believing with brand new drier eyes. Hopefully before it all starts over again, this spell of time renders curvatures, water drenched with splendid airy song. Divine saplings of appreciation, whether afloat or bottomless in healing- yet traversing always with beautiful feelings. -------------------------------------- Let's see you inquired if I have two daughters? I actually have 3- a 20 year old, a 16 year old, and a 13 year old. All the apple of my eyes! My sun sign is Gemini, my ascendant Gemini, and my moon is Scorpio <--- perhaps that's where the focus and intensity you describe derives from? As far as a formal education and literature, no I never had any desire to study under that type of setting. Learning from life is my classroom and studying at my own leisure has been comfortable and enriching for my mind. I find veering off and paving your own ways- tends to make learning endless and interesting. Thank you for your well wishes on my little retreat here. The birds woke me up this morning with their beautiful vibratory songs- echoing between the trees and hillsides. Since arriving I've been tuning out of the chaos and tuning into the tranquility. Thanks Randall! Yes it's very rural as to where the imagery was taken from- and I like being the passenger on the way there, so I may look out the window and write poetry on the way. IP: Logged |

Thank you so much, Pearlty, for the favor of your reply... It's sooo lovely you have daughters! Very special ages...Your words inspire me so much.... Your 'mermaid' scene above has me responding to so many memories. Right now I have multiple layers of things I want to say, simultaneously, but my words aren't spilling-- (need to go to bed) My Sun is in Gemini, too~~ yay gemmies!~~ with my ascendant, Sagittarius. Please forgive me if I bow out early-- There's been a lot going on at my apartment. Will write tomorrow... errrr, "If God is willin' and the creek don't rise!" as the saying goes! Enjoy that beautiful healthy Peace! IP: Logged |

^^ Oh Thank You So Much for your generosity... Autographed by you, too! yay!! You'll have to press a leaf from your woods into it too? Something to really look forward to when the pieces of my life re-assemble themselves after being blasted in the no-spaces! (Wreaks havoc on the nervous system, but inch by inch is a cinch, right?)My greatest needs are for Patience, an ability to FOCUS (with less distractions)... And a few loving friends around who care-- who cheer, and guide. I feel this from you here...and I humbly thank you for it! I {hug} Books!~~ (especially the ones Our Pearlty writes!!) ADDED: I recalled much later after my post that 'Poetician' was someone's name on another internet messageboard place... I'd forgotten about that! (I am not the originator of the word.) Was about 6 years ago? She was there only briefly then left. She had a lot of depth. Wondered what happened to her back then. Hoped she was safe. IP: Logged |

Road and shore become yonder blue as dusk tucks away sky cradling the last solemn lightsThe air thick with brine heaven seems to begin here surrounding beauty of rugged yet languid territory Even the creatures sing in glorious harmony from channels quiet enough to hear the heartbeat of empyrean divinity. Clear and beautiful, Pearlty! (music) "The Heavens are Telling" (Haydn's Creation) glass harmonicas, NASA photos, and lyrics [3:24] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAerTz_c8nc Text: The Heavens are telling the glory of God, The wonder of his work displays the firmament. Today that is coming speaks it the day, The night that is gone to following night. The Heavens are telling the glory of God, The wonder of his work displays the firmament. In all the lands resounds the word, Never unperceived, ever understood. The Heavens are telling the glory of God, The wonder of his work displays the firmament. IP: Logged |
