Another beautiful spring
alcoves onward

Soon penning inspiratively
beneath sunshine's
raying throws

Bringing forth renewal
lovingly- within all we
have bestrewn.

It is that time of year again
gather what you have left
and leave the unwelcoming cold

After a harsh winter of going within
welcome spring
then summer,
the season I call my own

With a childlike sense still intact
still seeing everything wondrous in the world
as striking and bold

I've learned perception is never a matter-
of right or wrong,
but rather a gray area
for understanding and knowing
where you belong

Exploring is never easy.

You got me choked up! This:

quote:

but rather a gray area
for understanding and knowing
where you belong

Exploring is never easy.

I think I will make a bookmark out of that quote! LOVE IT!!!!!

The earth hums
while a blue bottle flower
sidles up towards daybreak sun.

Her winding stem
lags behind
waiting for perpetual warmth
and solace to come.

Giving away raying life
unto her sapped delicate frame-
her leaves bow downward
awaiting first drops,
of unseen rain.

Fluxing in the easiness of the day
she drinks each droplet
breathing in and out
she gracefully sways
brushing the ground.

Casting a brilliant azure shadow
from her dainty headless crown
spreading forth cyclic movements
within nature's palling sound.

We are the roadside flowers,
Straying from the garden grounds;
Lovers of idle hours,
Breakers of ordered bounds..
Or question the wind where it blows?
We blossom and ask no reason,
The lord of the Garden knows.

Me too! This winter has been dragging on long enough for me. Last night out of sheer curiosity I looked up the weather in Siberia- and thought hmmm can't whine or complain too much about our temps, could be worse.

bringing wonderful beginnings afoot
full of plenitude.

Warble me now for joy of lilac-time, (returning in reminiscence,)
Sort me O tongue and lips for Nature’s sake, souvenirs of earliest summer,
Gather the welcome signs, (as children with pebbles or stringing shells,)
Put in April and May, the hylas croaking in the ponds, the elastic air,
Bees, butterflies, the sparrow with its simple notes,
Blue-bird and darting swallow, nor forget the high-hole flashing his golden wings,
The tranquil sunny haze, the clinging smoke, the vapor,
Shimmer of waters with fish in them, the cerulean above,
All that is jocund and sparkling, the brooks running,
The maple woods, the crisp February days and the sugar-making,
The robin where he hops, bright-eyed, brown-breasted,
With musical clear call at sunrise, and again at sunset,
Or flitting among the trees of the apple-orchard, building the nest of his mate,
The melted snow of March, the willow sending forth its yellow-green sprouts,
For spring-time is here! the summer is here! and what is this in it and from it?
Thou, soul, unloosen’d—the restlessness after I know not what;
Come, let us lag here no longer, let us be up and away!
O if one could but fly like a bird!
O to escape, to sail forth as in a ship!
To glide with thee O soul, o’er all, in all, as a ship o’er the waters;
Gathering these hints, the preludes, the blue sky, the grass, the morning drops of dew,
The lilac-scent, the bushes with dark green heart-shaped leaves,
Wood-violets, the little delicate pale blossoms called innocence,
Samples and sorts not for themselves alone, but for their atmosphere,
To grace the bush I love—to sing with the birds,
A warble for joy of lilac-time, returning in reminiscence.
~Whitman

Summer's Remembrance

There is nothing more enchanting to me, than remembering the sun's healing energies.

Lying under solar canopies
fructuously kissed with bronze, and free.

Fresh squeezed lemonade,
books, blank paper, and poetry.

Ebulliences of summer's revival
and time standing still beautifully.

I'm Jealous!! We are just finally thawing out and beginning to see grass! I've been receiving my gardening catalogs, which is a good sign that we're getting a little closer to planting time.

They said 57' today, but I don't think so. I had to make a fire to get the chill out of the house- it's damp and rainy here as well. According to our forecast warmer weather is on the way for next week.

Spring has already arrived where i am... at least it's approaching very fast. Thanks for the lovely poetry! My season used to be summer too, but i have replaced it with the shorter, yet blissful spring.
