Once upon a time there was a lonely little peacock, his name was feathers. Feathers was a good peacock, he never bothered anybody or disrespected anyone.

One day feathers went to live with his sisters down in Peacocksville. Feathers had never been to Peacocksville, where his sisters lived. However, he was told by his brothers, who had been there before, that Peacocksville was not a very friendly place. Feathers hadn't really cared what his brothers said though, feathers loved his sisters and missed them, so feathers had packed his belongings and left.

The first day in Peacocksville was wonderful. Feathers had been given a glorious, warm welcome by his sisters, which had him feeling right in home. He moved around the town, that first day, talking to all of the towns denizens. Feathers loved it here at Peacocksville, but unbeknownst to him, things weren't as they seemed and he was gonna find that out very soon.

Things changed on the 2nd day at Peacocksville. Feathers was out on the street, he was in a nice conversation with some very friendly citizens, when out of no where, a lady started yelling at him. She was saying things about him, things that just wasn't true.

Feathers wasn't sure why this lady had did this or who the lady even was. Feathers decided to just let it go, and continue with his day.

The next day, Feathers was out side, exploring the city. His journey taken him to various different places, where he met more citizens.

He was standing with his sisters, out on the street, when another lady started accusing him of being something he wasn't. Feathers had tried to speak reasonable with the lady, but she would have none of that, her mind was set, her judgement made!

That's when feathers finally visualized what was going on. His brothers had gone through the same thing down here in Peacocksville, and they eventually ran away because of it.

The citizens that had scared feathers brothers away, were now trying to scare him away. However, they had made a big misunderstanding. Those people had thought that, just because his brothers had ran, so then would feathers run, but boy were they wrong.

Feathers knew now what was happening here. These certain individuals didn't like feathers or his family. Why they didn't like them, he wasn't sure, but he could tell, they just didn't like him. Feathers thought to himself.... I treated them fairly, why would they treat me like this? Then he thought to himself... You know what, it doesn't matter why! Feathers knew what had to be done, so he started walking to the center of town.

You see, those citizens of Peacocksville, that had judged feathers, made a mistake. Feathers was nothing like his brothers before him. Inside of feathers, there was a heart unlike his brothers. Feathers had a goodly heart, a noble heart, an old souls heart. Inside feathers heart, burned passion. It burned fiercely and brightly, akin to that bright fiery orange orb, the one which dwells up in the sky.

Feathers made his way to the center of town, with a plan in his mind to stop this. He reached the center of town, grabbed an old bucket he found on the side of the road. Feathers flipped it upside down, placed it on the ground, and then climbed up on it. Once he was securely atop the bucket, at the very top of his lungs, feathers screamed, he screamed so loud that all would hear him. Feathers shouted... Who do you think you are? The people stopped and started to look into his direction. He shouted again.... Who are you to judge me? You know not the perils I've walked through, you know not of the sacrifices I've made, you know not of me, yet you're so quick to stereotype me!? I say again, who do you think you are?

Now all the citizens of Peacocksville were watching feathers, waiting to hear what he had to say next.

Feathers, spoke... I arrived here at a time of my choosing and I assure you, I will leave at a time of my choosing too! I will not succumb too stereotyping or bulling. These lies you say that I am, are nothing, nothing of the man I am. Go ahead and cast your stones out at me, it matters not to me. I assure you though, I will not leave until the time arrives when "I" choose to leave! When this battle has ended, twill be I whom stands here victorious, because I will not leave!!

Feathers dismounted the bucket, turned to his right, then started walking back towards his sisters house. Feathers heart was pounding hard at this point. It pounded with ferocity, with determination, and mostly, it pounded with passion.

Feathers was of a noble soul, he would stay with his sister.

Do you write a lot of fiction? I never could write in that fashion- but I appreciate it though and it's nice to step away from deeper more grueling subjects and read something more light hearted sometimes.
