I can sense many souls breaking apart
The burden of the world has bring them down
You can feel it in the air
Too many things boiling around

See the heat and the rain, the storms and floods
Houses falling, and people crying
There’re no good Samaritans to help them
Only the cops to hit them hard

And yet I see the light of hope
In these forsaken souls
Cause there’s no time to surrender
When there’s a desire to make things better

They’ll start again, brick by brick
Cause there’s no safer place than home
They seem ill but they ain’t weak
Together they remain strong

Food is scarce, and money is low
Everything seems to be moving slow
And no one to lay a helping hand
They are completely on their own

And yet I see the light of hope
In these forsaken souls
Cause there’s no time to surrender
When there’s a desire to make things better

So you got to remember
Someone’s is living in the depths of hell
While you complain with your computer
In your bedroom alone

Actions speak louder than words
You can see it through their fight
They may fall from exhaustion
But they will fight to change their fate

So you must see the light of hope
In these forsaken souls
So don’t dare to surrender
Cause you have a choice to make things better

Wow... That's a very powerful message!

I (myself) needed to hear that one today... thank you.

Never give up. Don't give up. ...

I meant to add earlier, however didn't have a chance to get back here-till now. I've noticed in most of your poems/lyrics a humanitarian quality, whether thinking on the less fortunate or those who might be suffering in any way. I applaud you for that LF DX, a very good attribute to have indeed.

Thank you Pearlty , yes, kinda, though I only express those qualities more in my words than my actions, cause I'm more of an introvert and it's hard to me to show those feelings to the community, but I always see the news, learn through my friends what's happening in my town, cause there's a lot of unrest in my country (Paraguay) right now, strikes, hunger, poverty, the neo-liberalist goverment (I'm kinda leftist, but not that much) is sinking this place through unnecessary debts, unnecessary expensive hotels, unnecessary spending in salaries and more.

I always worry about what's happening in the world, but I'm more confortable writing it than being there with the people. Maybe because I'm a pessimist that deep inside thinks that it's all over for mankind, and all these marches are just a waste, but, at least I want to give something to the people, to make them believe, as I'm trying to change my pessmism through the experiences I have lived in this year, with the new people I've met, all poets, artists, musicians, more commited to social causes.

Aqua Moon squaring Sun, Mars and Pluto in Scorpio.

But also, I combine these emotions for my surroundings with the things I have in my personal life, that sentiment of "never give up" and understanding that other have worst things than me or you or all of us, it is also my feeling of trying to fight for the woman I'm in love with, a cancer woman that's a musician, a poet and a social activist. That at the moment we're in a rough time as we haven't talked in like 2 weeks already but we're gonna see each other soon to play music(We're in a band together) and we'll probably discuss a lot of things in that day

In a sense I kinda absorb some of the qualities of the women I felt and I put them in my lyrics.

Thanks for explantion above. Even if introversion keeps you from action, it's good that you are aware of causes... writing about it is a form of doing something, helpful actually. Words are powerful and set things in motion, sometimes more than one realizes.

I tend to be on a local helpful level around here, I rarely watch the news. I find there are people right in my vicinity that need a hand, an ear, a kind word ,or support. I often give until I find myself looking for a soft place to land to rekindle my own energy.
I enjoy it however, and couldn't imagine living another way.

Well I hope you and your love interest find a cozy happy medium for each other. Where it is equal and you won't feel like having to fight for love. All good things grow slow- while nurturing ..takes patience.
