This is about the severe drought that the Parana river, the second largest river of South America is having right now, if the waters keep drying, it will affect soon the dams. And for my country, no water, no electric power... it will be badParaná is dead No more river No more fishes No more electic power Soybeans are down Money won't flow And with the dying river Hell's gonna blow Paraná is dead No more river No more fishes No more electic power Turned into a desert A land once so green A place of waterfalls Now just a dream Paraná is dead No more river No more fishes No more electic power Soybeans are down Money won't flow And with the dying river Hell's gonna blow ------------------------------------------- You can say now that I'm back, current energies around makes me write more in english again IP: Logged |

wow... like Dylan-- Social Issues to the foreground. Love it! What kind of 'sound'-mood are you going to do with your lyrics? Will you be making some youtubes of your various songs?

For this one will be a dirty psychedelic rock.I will always going to have two sides of my musical self, the one sensitive, romantic, soft, calm. And the other raw, angry, intense, powerful. And I roam occasionally between both every once in a while. I'm making a couple of records at the moment, now that I'm fully vaccinated, and the cases have been low recently, so I'm moving now before a third wave comes. And yes, they will be on Youtube IP: Logged |

LF!!! I was listening to youtube songs this morning, and the feed suggested this one for me. It's one of Leonard Cohen's performance--- but/and in this one, before his singing, he made a little speech about the writing his song 'Suzanne'. In what he said-- He basically posts some counsel to poets/writers/lyricists/actitivists, that they must NOT forget the beginning 'how and why' the song/words were born. He went on to describe the evolution OF this particular song he created. It happened to get noticed and as it shot high in popularity, he includes how other parts of 'the business' grabbed greater and greater control and hold of it. {Some of Cohen's work took some eye-opening twists and changes. He had been 'tricked' out of receiving money for his song 'Hallelujah'. He "trusted" {a folk-singer celebrity "friend," and his other 'friends' in the business. They stole from him!} So, back to what he said in THIS vid, he spoke of the politics of 'money' behind having a song rise so high in popularity. Seems he was glad the song honors the lady it was written about and for, yet I hear some slight cynical sorrowful remorse about what he's 'seen' happen 'in the business'. Remember within you to capture, frame, and protect (in your memory) the 'birth place' of your songs, your poem, your writings, ALWAYS. I recall some posts we've done in other threads you've done here. I hope you are still keeping files on the Originals of your work, and that you have dated those, keeping them. I hope you have written some paragraphs, notes, about your pieces-- reminding self of the circumstances under which each (that you choose to hold important) was written. (music) Suzanne {Live in Tel Aviv 1972} (Leonard Cohen) [6:45] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4SXdOsKaMU Here's an interview of the man. (topic) Leonard Cohen Live in San Sebastian 1988 (Tve) (full concert + interview) [@ 1:54:00] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TbCVZxPkSY First came the Interview which lasts through soundmark [7:00]-- from which the music concert begins. I think you might like what Cohen had to say at the beginning interview. MUCH Love, and Success on Your Road Ahead Closed Caption, has all talk and lyrics on-screen in Spanish Language. Many Blessings, LF DX --- And Best of Luck to you. Keep your Heart in the Right Place. Never Cheat-- because those who 'win' through cheating will have to KEEP cheating to hold that win--- and it will always have an awful feeling accompanying it, for the rest of your life. AVOID that. Stay Clear. Honest. and Blessed!!!

Cohen's last tour was because a "manager" of his stole from him millions of dollars, so he had to leave his retirement to go back touring in 2008, and he had the best years of his life as a musician, selling out shows, making 3 hour shows in his late 70's-early 80's.I do have copies of everything, I have every document, recording, etc. Thanks mirage, I still keep my principles intact, and hope to keep 'em for a long time.
