Greetings...

I'm back from Hawaii and feeling rested and rejuvenated, if a wee bit jet lagged!

Shall we move on to the ONE cards in the Tarot deck, better known as the Aces? Let's!

Each Ace represents a new beginning! The hand of the Creator is presenting the viewer with a magical item; a Wand, a Pentacle, a Sword and a Cup. Each Ace represents an opportunity for new growth in the endeavors governed by each suit.

Ace of Wands: new spark of creativity or intuition. News, letters, faxes or phone calls that present new business opportunities or possibly social invitations. This card may come as an announcement of a birth in your family or circle of friends.

Reversed: Delays or frustrations in business ventures. Expected news being delayed, or perhaps not what you might wish to hear. Can represent an unwillingness to meet the universe halfway. A temporary setback advising a second look at a proposed venture.

Ace of Pentacles: Financial gain, promotion or raise. Money being available to begin a new venture. Security and feeling of material comfort and well being. Can represent prosperity consciousness; enough and to spare. Can represent an important legal or financial document. Possibility of a new home purchase.

Reversed: Poverty consciousness; feeling of financial lack that creates more financial lack. An indication of a bad investment, and a need to listen to the "inner voice" for guidance in financial matters.

Ace of Swords: Victory! Courage and valor! Things are looking up; a time for healing old wounds of an emotional nature. Can represent an opportunity for furthering or continuing education. A situation is afoot that can benefit from logic and reason. Success by applying scientific or Universal Law.

Reversed: the advice here is not to try to push things through at this time, a full frontal assault is NOT recommended. This is time to reassess plans, looking for possible holes in your logic. A good time to avoid elective surgeries when this card is prominent. Opposition, discord and delays.

Ace of Cups: Abundance, happiness and Love. "Thou annointest my head with oil, my cup overflows." Beginning of a new relationship. Positive changes in the home. Development of spiritual insight and sensitivity.

Reversed: Depression, feeling a lack of love or feeling bored and stuck in a rut. If near other cards that discuss health issues: fertility problems, female issues, alcoholism or drug addiction. Can represent escapism. A need for balance in relationships; loving too intensely or perhaps not enough.

This is but a beginning, much more can be said, and as always, any card should be read in relation to the question being asked and more importantly the cards surrounding the Aces in a spread.

Your thoughts?

In the Light...

I would just like to say that I love getting the Aces in any reading.. they are like a little gift from the Universe! My deck leads me to try to make the best from reversed cards.. so if my gifts are flipped, I use it as a chance to explore why I am resistant to receiving what the Universe wants me to experience.....

And I hope Hawaii was wonderful, Aselzion..

Hey Randall...

Aloha is hello and goodbye.

Mahalo is thank you.

I think the Hawaiian alphabet only has 13 letters so alot of their words seem to look and sound alike. Not that I personally speak much Hawaiian, but this is what my friend that lives there tells me.

Peace and magic..

oh! I've been unable to check my boards for a while, but here I am!

Aselzion, good to see you had a wonderful vacation!! Good on ya!

Now the aces... this is one card I have a bit of problems interpreting, depending on how it shows up on a reading... I mean, i know that the aces are the raw energy of the suit, like the start of all the suit and they always mean a beginning.

But for example... and I'm talking about the Celtic Cross here, if I get an ace as the first card, which means the question... I always have a hard time to intepret. Also, an ace as the past events card. Also hard.

All in all, I always get a smile on my face when I get an Ace. The feelings I get from the card are very good, I think cause they represent the beginning of something that is good and rewarding!

Sooooooooo I'm back! I hope

Hello Serenity Rose...

What a wonderful user name!

Well, as I have stated before, I don't often use the Celtic Cross, but if I were to get any of the Aces in that type of spread, I might look at the entire reading in this fashion:

Wands: Business, enterprise, educational matters, or perhaps matters of an inspirational nature.

Pentacles: Financial matters, issues of security and things of value; or perhaps what the issues related to the querent's own value system (i.e. honor, integrity, family, work) or perhaps it could represent a new job/career or raise.

Swords: issues related to worries, troubles, strife and conflict. Perhaps "swords were crossed" or harsh words spoken, and now the querent needs to face the matter and deal with it. Something is stressing the querent, and the rest of the cards should speak of what it is and offer advice as to how to deal with it.

Cups: Relationships, marriage, partnerships and their general tone. Can speak of artistic and/or musical pursuits. The general tone will have to be determined by the other cards in the spread.

In terms of an Ace in the past position... could it relate to news about such matters? In some way the foundation of the question will depend upon the suit meaning as above.

These are in no means absolutes, nor are they the only possible interpretations, just a little inspiration to get your own intuitive muscles working. As always, the most important thing about reading the cards is to stop, look and listen to that inner voice of guidance.

Make sense?

i see the aces as beginnings too. one starts with a spark, or may be a new enterprise with a few coins in the bank.

sometimes i also see the aces as the existence of something that hasn't come into fruition yet. it exists in the thought, memory, feelings, or dreams. sometimes the "entity" doesn't move beyond that.

My study notes on the ACES:

Ace of Wands
To me this means new energy that can be used for self development, a spiritual quest or even a creative project.
It's a new beginning with an aesthetic quality to it. Wands represent progress with self, communication, action, passion and creativity.

Ace of Cups
This indicates a new relationship (romantic or otherwise). This can also mean an awakeing intuition or a new found psyhcic power.
A new beginning that will either affect a person on an emotional level or on a psychic level.

Ace of Swords
This reveals new ideas or a new intellectual interest being sparked by a new hobby, or a project. This is all about mental activity and intellectual persuits.

Ace of Pentacles
This means new beginnings on the physical plane, maybe a new job, a new home or the start of a period of prosperity. A material gain is the essence of this card.

I love the Ace of Swords. I think of it as a great magical sword cutting through veils and walls and illusions: Illumination. The triumph of clarity in thought. Something will be finally understood, revealed. Isn't it a revelation?

The deck I use is Albano--Waite, like the Ryder-Waite deck.

I have no reverse meanings for the cards, for there are many cards with hardship.

Ace Wands-- An endeavor of Free Will, not destiny, alot of hard work involved, guaranteed success, is difficult. The Free Will can carry you pretty far, but in the end, you'll choose another Path.

Ace of Cups-- My Favorite, and a gift from the Tarot to me, I can distinguish with this card between a soulmate and a Twin soul, a secret I can't share.
This card means the purest emotion and Love, a boundless understanding, of the Trinity of Three. A Heart of Gold.

Ace of Swords-- There are two sides to everything, realizing this and putting your self in the other situation, allows you to
overcome the difficulties. Things work out, more in your favor than there's. Reaching the next level.

Ace of Pentacles-- An endeavor or family business with foundations for generations to come, lasting prosperity, not much can touch this good fortune.

These are how I see the Aces, I'm sure we all see them differently, and some the same, as I do readings, I get flashes, and sometimes words typed out in Black on white paper, I always relay what I see.

Love and Light to ALL
