Just a quick question...Has anyone ever done a spread at the same time as a friend and have three to five of the same cards come up in both spreads? Either in the exact same placements or somewhere close to it? IP: Logged |

Were they right there with you? Was it exactly the same time and two different decks?------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Same time, two different decks, not always right there with me. It has happened when we were together in the same room and when we were over a thousand miles apart, but talking on the phone. We were usually focused on the same question. But there have been times when the focus was different for each of us. One spread would ignore the seeker's focus and mirror the other's. Interesting, but I have no ideas to offer. Very interesting that this would occur, though. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

I've had something like that happen. I like to sit and play with my cards to warm them up and do different spreads and the same cards will turn up again and again. Usually I don't pay much attention unless, they are mostly the majors turning up. Then I'll stop and read them. That's pretty neat, do you document this when it happens, someone might be trying to give you a message. skywych IP: Logged |

Hey LLL, I just noticed you are from New Franklin, how about that for a small world. I'm in Moberly. Go figure, great minds think alike. skywych IP: Logged |

Can Central Missouri handle people like us? I've been remodeling my bathroom and haven't had a chance to log on for awhile, so I just saw this. Old houses are great, but you have to wonder what idiot put in the plumbing and wiring when they became available for home use. It almost makes me wish for an outhouse...almost. IP: Logged |

I'm glad you think it's funny, Randall. But have you put any more thought into my initial question? I'd really like some opinions on this. It might make it more interesting overall if you looked into Astral Realms and posts from Irish Eyes, Dreams of same unknown person and sharing dreams (I think that's what it's titled.) No new thoughts, but I'll keep this up top, so others can see it.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Here we go again!Irish Eyes was visiting this weekend and last night we threw some spreads together (for the first time in years). All I can say is Dear Lord Above! I knew we were in for it with the first spread, but it just kept going, again and again. I know we're connected, but this is almost ridiculous. If anyone has any insights we'd really appreciate it. This is the first spread we threw, first mine then hers. Classic ten card Celtic cross. Signifier - Knight of Wands Crossed by - 3 of Swords Above - Knight of Cups (reversed) Below - Knight of Pents Behind - 8 of Pents (reversed) Ahead - Ace of Cups Self - Wheel of Fortune Feelings - Chariot (reversed) Hopes and Fears - High Priestess (reversed) Final - 6 of Swords. Now Irish Eyes'. Signifier - Star (reversed) Crossed by - 8 of Pents Above - 3 of Cups Below - King of Swords Behind - 6 of Cups Ahead - Page of Wands Self - World (reversed) Feelings - 9 of Wands (reversed) Hopes and Fears - 5 of Swords Final - 8 of Cups (reversed). In later spreads Pents followed IE while Major Arcana followed me. (It's usually the opposite.) In almost every spread we had at least two, if not five, of the same cards pop up together between our spreads. Another interesting thing - while we were sitting there IE suddenly realized why an earlier spread struck her as odd. She had thrown the EXACT same spread nearly 13 years ago. Any insights anyone? We'd appreciate any thing anyone might have. LLL IP: Logged |

Wish I could offer insight. It does appear to be very interesting.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |
