I was hunting for the thread about the violet flame but couldn't find it. Could someone give me a clue?

Or better still start a new one perhaps? I just wondered how everyone else used it.

i've been working towards getting my massage therapists license and a friend came over the other day and kept remarking on all the purple stuff i have around (it's definitely not my usual color) - a new sweater, water glass, jacket, massage table...
either the school is rubbing off on me or the color fairies are speaking to my wallet below the level of conscious awareness (sadly, not a big feat).

I know it's kind of rough in other parts of the board. I just stay out of it and let them fight with each other.

The violet flame and the color purple are using for attaining a higher consciousness and healing and lots of other things too. From what I'm told. I use it to bring in information from the other side. You imagine opening your chakras and pulling the violet light into your body and bouncing it around. Then you tell it what you need. This works for me but I've had other people tell me that when they try it at first that they get a energy buzz and a headache.

To get rid of the headache and buzz, all you need to do is imagine the light leaving your body out through your feet or stand up and bend over, and imagine it falling out the top of your head, like a glass of water falling over.

I went through a phase of having a lot of purple. I still do. It just makes me feel good. When I hold a piece of amethist it calms me down, a de-stressor I suppose.

I was hoping that someone else would have shared how they use the violet flame/light. Guess they are busy expressing their opinions else where.

Do you want to be a healer? It is a calling that oozes from your bones with a life of it's on when it hits. When you lay your hands on someone, do you call the flame to come through you and into the person you are working on? I bet that feels so good. Very soothing and comforting. You'll be a good healer, I can just see it.

Do you work much with the chakras? Or with colors? You can use them in many ways. Bout anything you want to do, they will help.

thanks for your info on the violet flame. sounds like the same thing the other thread referred to alright.

a friend of mine who is HIV positive used to go to a healer in NY who did reiki and also used the violet light. my friend said it was the most amazingly transportive energy he had ever experienced. he was so impressed he made me call this guy and i'm hoping to meet with him sometime in the summer, so i'll ask him and pass on any info i get.

have you read Barbara Brennan's Hands of Light? i've had it for years but am rereading it now that i've had some training - what a difference in the amount of information i am able to ascertain! i'll be taking polarity this summer and the instructor is supposed to be wonderful. i'm hoping she can first help me better discharge the energy i pick up during sessions - or not pick it up at all. (but y'know what? i only have trouble when i work on men, so maybe it's me! )

i think working with chakras is amazingly effective, too. have you had personal experience with this? i tend to read energy more as sound than color these days, but in the past the reverse has been true. do you actually "see" anything or is it more of a sensing/knowing kind of thing?

what's your story?

I've been blessed to be able to see the colors, or hear them as music and feel them by touch. I'm certified in Reiki but don't do it much any more on a one to one situation. Sometimes if I pass a person that needs some, I'll send it out. Now I work more on a planetary level. I feel that I get more done doing that. I seldom even do readings for people anymore either, but I do miss the interaction with people.

I think healers are so needed and in great shortage. I'm not sure why people don't heed the calling, they would feel so much better about themselves. And I do think it is the greatest teaching tool we have to learn about ourselves. Isn't that what Chiron is about? The healer healing others to heal him/her self?

When you do Reiki do you ever see the people from the other side standing around and helping you? Or hear what they say? I am trying to validate some info I was told, but am having difficulties finding someone that can hear them. If you do could you please let me know? It has to do with this new earthquake movie coming on this weekend. You know the big one! I thought that matter had been settled but I think maybe something has changed again.

For fun, try opening your chakras with the colors added with the lightest brightest color you can imagine. And swirl it around all of them, along the backside of the spine and up the front of your body and shoot it out the top of your head. Believe me, it's a rush of pure ecstacy. Then don't forget to dump the excess.

interesting that it's come up just now too.....as i have called the violet flame energy a lot recently....something new i've tried. and it is quite powerful.

that's so accurate....i like how you define it. just thinking about healing energies and how to pursue this heightens my spirit.

i have read some of the Brennan books and in one she talks about her spirit guides, i think, standing around and helping her...is that what you're talking about skywych?

about the healer being healed through healing others -- i'm very intrigued by this! can you tell more about chiron and this approach?

unfortunately i can think of lots of reasons why "people don't heed the calling" - low self-worth (fear of what others will say, not feeling qualified), fear of what they will encounter in themselves, perceived lack of time or money, limited ideas of what constitutes "healing"... i could go on. i do think in an ideal future everyone would have training in the healing arts - meaning energy work and some psychology training as well as the biological background to put it all in perspective. but a potential healer also needs a certain level of maturity, a strong center, and a good set of ethics, to begin with. and a love of life. and a sense of humor! and adaptability. i myself am working on all of these things.

that said (no - i'm not a libra!) i think we're ALL healers. i've found that among my friends and family the most open/psychic/potential-healers are the ones who succumb to mental or physical illness, often at a young age. so sad when that creative energy gets blocked and turned inward. so harmful. sometimes i think of myself less as a healer and more of a fellow guide - a lot of it is being an example of trying to live up to my own potential. i bet you know what i mean.

i don't have training in reiki but it's been coming up a LOT. it still seems esoteric to me - the symbols, the lineages, etc. but many wonderful healers i know use it so i am intrigued - are you willing to share some of your knowledge/experience? if so you have a rapt audience of at least one! thanks for the chakra exercise - i'll give it a whirl asap.

as for help from the other side, since i was little i've had three spirit guides that come to me in dreams - always together and often one is a "foil" that the others "save" me from - mini-life lesson sessions, as i like to think of them. two are "male" and the third appears either as a woman or more aften as a lion. at times i've felt this big beast physically walking on my bed at night - whoah that's a trip! but i've haven't yet become conscious of the other dimensions in my healing practice.

yes, talaith, (and in response to the question from skywych, too) Barbara Brennan does talk about "physically" seeing her spirit guides while she works - she even has drawings in her book of her healing sessions with her guides present!

and what's this about an earthquake movie??? there was a thread somewhere a while ago about "rocking" and i may have posted this there, but i've been having severe earthquake dreams for a few years now. i chalked it up to the fact that i lived in four places in a row that were on fault lines and so experienced quite a few in reality, but i've also had the experience of waking up in the night because the bed is quaking - what's that all about!?! i left taiwan because i was having anxiety about tidal waves, and i'm not a nervous person. oh well, i know there are lots of changes about. do you also get heart murmurs? my two best friends also have earthquake/tidal dreams and heart blurps like me. i try not to dwell on/project fear, but i also just saw an advertisement for a movie called something like The Day After about the coming "great storm" that will change the face of the earth.

do we intuit these things or do we cause them?

I've read Brennan's books and they were good. What she describes is pretty real and I can validate some of her information. When I work with some one, I can feel first, then see the doctors come in the help. At first when this happened, I was scared to pieces. Then they introduced themselves and now they are like family, a very extended family.

Ten years ago, or so, I was told to gather supplies that would enable me to be self-sufficent from the grid and keep to my healing studies because there was going to be a need for them. Well being the curious cat and doubting thomas at the same time, I asked them a thousand questions about why. They told me and showed this huge earthquake on the west coast and that I would be a helper of some sort.

Several years past and I was doing what they told me, and I got a message that it was being pushed back for many years. That people were beginning to understand the connection of all things. But I am worried again. The nightmare visions, like you talk of, the heart palpatations and just a general anxiety has been plauging me. I just don't know if I'm prepared enough. No one seems to have a clear vision of what is going on. There are somethings they just don't let me know. I hope this isn't one of them.

The earthquake movie comes on May2, 8 o central time on NBC. It is a two part movie. I'll be glued because they always give clues, you just have to be watching for them.

X I can tell you anything you need for the Reiki, if I could get my computer to draw for me, I'd give you the symbols that are used. Just by thinking about it I gave you the symbols for your aura. And you too Talaith. People should give it up if they got it. I mean, it's not like something you can hang on to and put in your closet.

I wish more people would talk about their healing powers, we could do some serious work then. I know people are afraid when they start out. I was too. Blessed be I had a great teacher who made me face the fears and come out the other side. Bless that woman to no end.

Chiron is something I am just now beginning to understand myself. When I learn more and can tell you about it in a manner that would make sense, I promise I will. The one thing I know for sure is that as I help heal someone, I have helped to heal my own damage. By looking at what they feel is awful or ugly about themselves, helps me to look at what I dislike about myself. I think it gives you courage. And knowing that you really aren't alone in this world. I hope some of that makes sense.

Please continue on for me, you both have it or you wouldn't be here. Everything is perfect as it should be and is.

first off, thank you, sky, for sending reiki symbols to our auras – please let me know if i can do anything for you in return. i agree that we learn more from sharing than from “selling” our knowledge. there’s nothing more uplifting than spending an afternoon with someone on the same “wavelength” – goodness, what our etheric bodies do when we’re not looking!

as for reiki, the use of the characters are the thing i understand least about the practice. is it the symbol itself that is supposed to hold power, or are they mainly focus devices? i’ve studied chinese for years and i love the holisitc compactness of the ideograms – they do contain a lot of information – and history. i have a reminder character on the inside of each wrist.

let me know if you learn anything from the may 2nd movie. I don’t have a TV but I do go to the movies, so I’ll fill you in on the “Day After Tomorrow” when I see it. that one seems to highlight earth changes in new york rather than L.A. looks like scary stuff. I left manhattan to move to southern CA – I seem to be drawn to these quakey places! what’s your feeling on where things stand today? are we only holding off something inevitable or could it be avoided altogether? one of the worst dreams I’ve had seemed more post-nuclear, with heat sores and lack of food being the main theme. ick. too many things to worry about – while trying not to add energy to any possibilities!

then again, if a soul would choose to be in a place like that at a time of such drastic change/cleansing then it’s really the folks left behind who suffer the most – and maybe that challenge is also necessary for the kind of growth we need. on another note, I think it was william burroughs who referred to nuclear death as “soul death” – which could make some sense on an energetic level. if we can affect the subtler bodies with powerful energy releases, what would the effects be???

also, you mentioned being sufficient from the grid – are you off it? do you use wind or just solar? my husband is an environmental builder so we talk a lot about this stuff.

From what I was told by the gentleman that did my attunement, the symbols enhance what you already have. Every lineage has different thought. I was attuned by a Melchizedek, and he told me that the (Dr. Midao) Usui system or branch, so the speak, was one of the teachers that public. He also said that each branch of Reiki, has different symbols, and that none of them have them all, the complete set. This is only what he told me. I can't verify this.

I will tell you the names of them and maybe you could surf around and find them.

First degree: Cho Ku Rei And it looks like a spiral with an upside down L going through the middle. You know the diagram Linda made in the immortality chapter in Star Signs. It looks like that. Except you begin the spiral at the bottom and connect the line L to the starting point. I know it sounds confusing, but play with it. That is part of attunement. Practice your symbols until you find the right placement for you. This is your light switch and will increase you ability to carry the light and energy and increase your output to the person you are working on.

Next symbol for First degree: Sei He Ki This looks like the number seven 7. With two humps on its back. Curve the top of the 7 and add two small humps. The second part of that one looks like a 5 on top of a 3. Start drawing from the top and go down. These two stand side by side, the 5-3 then the lazy 7 with humps. It is used for protection, clearing out pain of any sort, emotional healing and purification.

The last symbol is Hon She Sho Nen. It is used for distant healing, tapping into the Akashic Records. It is a complex symbol and I couldn't begin to describe it to you. Maybe I can get my husband to do a quickie website and put it up for me. He has all of those gizmos. Then you could see them.

Second degree: The Cho Ku Rei (shokuray) is written again, but this time add another one going the opposite direction. Imagine a pair of dowsing rods swinging in towards each other, add the spirals. That is how I remember them.

Next: Write the Sei He Ki (sayhekey) and do one in the opposite direction. 7 on the outside, 3-5 on the inside. Everything has an opposite or back side, as I say. It's polarity.

The third degree symbols are beyond writting too. I can tell you what I was told as part the symbols. Repeat this and the Cosmos will know what you mean. Circle, circle, circle, infinity sign, lightening bolt(with seven corners, seven for the chakras), (for you are opening your chakras, running man. Visualize those images in your mind, and you got it. Some people add the upright triangle and the downward triangle coming together to create the six pointed star. Or cocreation as some call it.

The best book I have found for the hand placements is by David G. Jarrell. Reiki Plus Natural Healing is the name. And Kathleen Milner, Reiki & Other Rays of Touch Healing for how to use this energy in many different ways.

So you don't watch tv. I didn't for a long time but got bored with myself. Radio is still my favorite type of noise.

Yesterday when I made my last post, the creepiest, hugest co-incedence happened. I finished and had an email from the survival center, they post zecharia sitchin stuff, the planet x guy, and said that they had been informed of a large belt of comets coming by. Hint, hint, that this rouge planet might be swinging in. It sort of messed me up.

Today I had a tree fall and miss my house by only a foot, the house across the street was torn down, with no notice at all. I'm just thinking that this Saturn comjoined by 4th house has me thinking. Maybe I should recheck my homeowners. HAHA

X it will be okay. We wanted to be here or we would have left already. You are a healer even if some organization hasn't told you yet. I'm telling you. The secrets of the humanity are kept in the bones. Keep learning all you can, when you can. That way it is pleasure, not a chore.

I'll start a new thread in Aselzions corner and we can continue on with predictions.

And I want nothing in return. Just knowing I gave it up to another person is good for me.

I don't fully claim to understand it yet, but I've been going to an "energy healer", as I call him, for about 9 months, and the changes it has made in my life in with the few sessions I've had in that short time is amazing... (or maybe I should say the changes I've made due to these sessions is amazing). Someone once told me re: energy healing, "why would you want to spend years in counselling when someone could resolve those issues through energy work". I was skeptical, but like to have an open mind, and being that I'd just recovered from Cancer surgery, I figured, sure, I'll give it a go, anything to help towards strenghtening myself so I don't ever have to go through this again...and boy were they right.

The guy I've been learning from isn't Reiki, he trained at Berkeley Psychic Institute for several years, and basically calls himself a "clairvoyant metaphysician" - he told me he doesn't do the same thing as Reiki does. But I'm so unfamiliar with all forms of energy work that it's difficult for me to make comparisons. He's also told me that he thinks I have a natural propensity for that kind of healing, but I don't know just yet whether I'm ready to pursue healing others. It's a big responsibility. That's probably a good reason right there why more don't pursue healing work - the confidance issues like someone mentioned, but also, it is a huge responsibility to heal others.

My Chiron is in Aries in the 10th house, I've no idea what that means - Although anything in Aries doesn't conjure up images of "healer" for me lol

when my mom had a hysterectomy for fibroid tumors i did a lot of research. i was most blown away by the description Christiane Northrup gave for this disorder in her book Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom - she's a physician with a very open mind. i won't go into it here, but her analysis of fibroids so perfectly fit my mom's situation i was speechless. so i went out and bought my mom some new art supplies and commanded that she PAINT! (something she hadn't done in years). she was lucky. two of her same-age cousines (@ age 50) have died in the past five years - one from lupus and the other from ovarian cancer.

another book i keep close at hand is Vibrational Medicine by Richard Gerber, MD. i think it gives a good overview of "energy medicine" - with more solid background info than Brennan provides. but it's not a how-to manual. Rosalind Bruyere's Wheels of Light also gives a lot of food for thought.

thanks for the recc on Eastern Body... sounds fascinating. i read another book once that talked about schizophrenia in relation to accounts of kundalini rising without the proper training. it was interesting, though a bit too simplistic for my liking. still, i think there is a LOT more to be explored within the interplay of energy work, psychiatry and psychology.

by the way Isis - the healer's not healing you - YOU are! he's just helping you along. so if you've made the progress you have it's because you DO have the potential to be a good healer - and you probably already are just by being an inspiration. thanks for sharing your experience.
