Greetings...I'm glad I was able to inspire you to pick up the Tarot, I think its value is quite often misunderstood, and it certainly is underused as a method of spiritual development.
In terms of the Knight of Wands: well it can be a person born under any of the Fire signs (Aries, Leo or Sagittarius) who is in their young adulthood or unmarried. (that can be Sun/Moon/Ascendant or MidHeaven in one of those aforementioned Fire signs) The coloring tends to fair or reddish hair, light eyes and a fiery, warm temperament. Reversed, the temperament could be prone to hot temper and anger issues. The eternal child who wants to get his own way... all the time. "I don't wanna grow up"...
It can represent striking off and leaving home for the first time, as in going away to college, or moving/relocating for a job. The idea is the embracing of freedom and striking out on one's own.
When not representing people, this card can represent new business/work or educational opportunities.
Inverted, delays in these matters, or again a childish, rather than childlike fiery temperament.
As always though, the real interpretation of this card will be determined by the cards around it in a spread.
And people cards MAY represent an aspect of the querent's own personality rather than another person... so this again would be determined in context.
Hope that helps...
Blessings...
