I am new to tarot so I've been taking some advice from Aselzion and meditating on the cards. I've meditated on The star and I find it to be a very bright positive card. At least that is the feeling that it gives me. The astrological sign for The Star is Aquarius. The Star is also associated with faith and hope. I'm interested in anyone else's experience and interpretation of this card? I received a lot of positive energy from this card, I'm curious to know if anyone has had a similiar response. Thanks-Jupiter-IP: Logged |

Greetings...Jupiter... your information and feeling regarding this card are accurate and correct. That is one of the most positive cards in the deck. In terms of it's more esoteric meanings, it is Meditation. The 7 Stars on the card are the Chakras, the 7 ancient planets and/or the 7 metals of the alchemists. It is a picture of the benefits that we reap when we meditate.. but meditation is not all passive, as the card shows... there is active meditation as well, and that is probably more what is indicated. Note that the central figure (who in Tarot is always YOU) is pouring water onto both land and water... she is active. Active meditation is the kind that produces results, where passive meditation is the type that allows access to information. But if one is not properly trained, passive meditation can open the doorway to less positive energies to "come through" if you will. You are doing well.. keep up the good work, and don't worry about getting validation from anyone other than your Higher Self. You are the one that will be reading the cards eventually.. or using them as tools for further development, so trust your intincts. Blessed Be... Wow,Thank you for your intake on this card. It's amazing how one can really tap into something by using their intuition. I actually drew this card in the exercise that La-tee-da had suggested for begginer tarot users. This was my last card drawn, it's such a coincidence that this card is represented by 7 and represents me in the card. I was born on december 7th and my lucky number is 7. I see how the tarot can reflect you back to yourself. The tarot is beautiful!!! Aselzion, thanks for the beautiful interpretation and for your time. I'm curious to know when you first got into the tarot? Also, When you first began to become aware of your phychic abilities. My intuitive energies are tellling me your very talented!!!! -Jupiter- IP: Logged |

Greetings...Well, how I first got acquainted with Tarot... that's a story! And maybe a wee bit silly! When I was much younger... there was a TV show on called Dark Shadows. It was a datime soap opera, and it took a gothic, witchy, vampiric turn somewhere into the second season I believe. At that point its ratings skyrocketed. Well, shopping in the mall one day, I came across the deck that they had used on TV, and I bought it. I'd say I was in the 7th or 8th grade at the time.. but I remembered the pictures from that long ago soap! The rest as they say is history! In terms of my psychic ability.. I think that it's something we all have, and that we are generally talked out of as we grow up. I always believed in magic and things suprnatural, so I guess developing what abilities I had became a sort of hobby. A Teacher of mine has said that we often develop the abilities as a defense mechanism... as a way of protecting ourselves from abusive situations... or to become "different" in a way from "those other people". I'm not sure if that is all true, but I do know that the basic "fight or flight" instinct is often the first thing that calls our abilities into operation. As I grew older in my skills, I realized that if we walk a spiritual path, what most people call psychic abilities will develop or blossom as a side benefit of the spiritual journey. I think that when the abilities develop along these lines, they are more "centered" or "connected" than when we attempt to develop them as an end unto themselves. Hope that helps a bit... and that it makes a bit of sense. As always, I'm willing to clarify if I have muddied the waters in an attempt to make my explanation. Blessings... Hi Aselzion, I'm sorry that it took me a bit to get back to you? I've been having a busy week. Anyway I think it's so funny that you mentioned the tv show Dark shadows. That was one of my favorie shows and I was so dissapointed when it never returned!!!! I used to watch Dark Shadow religiously it was great!! So, you started Tarot in 7th and 8th grade wow that's pretty young!!!! It's a young age to start tapping into your intuitive abilities. Well that would explain why you seem to have a strong ability with esoteric topics. I'd love to hear some more of your experiences regarding the tarot and spirituality. Also do you put any meditative stones like amethyst on your deck? I've heard from a few people that it actualy can energize the deck. Just curious if you've heard of this or do this? Well i'm definitly still getting to know my deck, so far my experience with the tarot has been eerily accurate. Thank you for all the tips and advice. -peace- -Jupiter-IP: Logged |

Greetings...I saw the 2 Dark Shadows movies, but the best was the daytime soap with the bad acting, the missed lines and the not so inconspicuous camera and scene change work! It was a classic!! Now granted, I think at the time, some of the episodes were done LIVE... but the acting was more than a little over the top in alot of episodes! Now it's a hoot to watch, but I'll always have a special place in my heart for Dark Shadows! That, Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie opened my young mind to the memories and possibilities of magic and the "supernatural" and here I am today still interested...many, many moons later!
