I just gave myself a new reading, I have been studying the Tarot for a while today ( must be the influence of the Sagittarius full moon, I have been voraciously reading today) Anyway, I wonder, I have my own conclusions, but, does anyone have any opinions on the cards?
Flex your Tarot muscles?

I asked about this summer... changes/love/life... whatchu think? (traditional Celtic Cross spread)
1)The Sun(19)
2) The Empress(3) If you take into account reversed, she was.....
3) Eight of Pentacles (Coins)
4) Death (13)
5) The Hanged Man(12)
6) Two of Swords ( reversed)
7) Six of Swords
8) Queen of Hearts (Cups)
9) Prince ( Page/knight) of Wands
10) Seven of Hearts (Cups)
11) The Moon (reversed)

Quite the summer, huh? Anyone have an opinion? An Interpretation?

Just at looking at a few cards, the general feeling I get is a short period of minor reversals and/or disappointments followed by new changes that turn out to be very fortunate.

!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for responding Randall!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I kinda thought so too, but not such a good turnout, as it is my own life, so I worry.
But I remain an optimist.

I'm a big fan of the Sun and Death (especially in the same reading). I see that as very positive (even if somewhat disruptive of the status quo).

hi pixel - i've never used an 11-card celtic cross... always 10. is there a specific name to the spread you used - i don't want to mix up the order because of a different layout...

It's called 'the Celtic Cross spread'
1-You
2-What surrounds You
3-What blocks you
4-Your Foundation
5-What is behind you
6-What crowns you
7 What is before You
8-Your persona
9-How others see you
10-Your hopes and fears
11-The Outcome
I am interested in hearing about your ten card spread.....

Oh, Thanks Xelena Ben~
I am okay I guess. I have shared in the past.... He passed away this morning at seven. I am trying to go about my day as normally as possible. I don't know....
I believe in sharing, as others glean meanings from things posted here. As long as I am in on the sharing, I am happy to do it.. I know, it's very Scorpio. Thank you for the option.. I appreciate your discretion.
But if you have something to share with me, I'd love for you to do it here. ( Unless it is of a personal nature to you, in which case, I will leave my email addie, just let me know)

Thank you , for looking into this.
Sometimes other people's perspective is all I need to solidify the clarity. It is like ice crystals melting in my hand sometimes.

okay, here’s my interpretation of your cards:

first some general overall comments:

1. you drew very strong and deep figures – but I feel the outcome will be positive if you use your energy wisely – meld your intellect with a greater respect for and understanding of your intuiton – I see a path, a journey, a time for you to delve into deeper mysteries for which you have already set the stage

2. ummm... if you’re not already pregnant, you may want to take some extra precautions this summer (if you’re not planning on expanding your family). while it may just be symbolic, it could also be physical – four cards point to a possible pregnancy (the sun, the empress, the prince of wands, the queen of cups)

3. yes, the death card could very well relate to your grandfather – his passing – but also the spiraling that will result from contemplating his passing – and how this thinking how this will affect your choices.

4. not to sound like the ghost of paras, but be careful of expending newfound energy with substance use/abuse. three cards point to dangers in this area (seven of cups, moon reversed, queen of cups)

The Sun
you’re in a good place now to assert your energy in a consciously chosen direction. you have fullfilled a previous lesson and are able to fully embody this new light and energy. you are facing outwards and have the intellect and clarity to carry through that which you now choose to focus your energy upon – this is always true, but you will see ideas manifest with an even quicker speed in the coming time. you are awake and ready for a challenge. you have laid the groundwork for further growth and this is the prime time to begin a new project. you are manifesting the inner power to conduct your will in a precise and clear fashion.

The Empress (reversed)
you may feel you are being drained. your loved ones demand nurturing – you may feel they demand too much, more than you have to give at times - and you are being deflated from this; you are not engaging/identifying with your inner goddess/feminine enegy that will allow you to replenish this need; these same people will support you in your new (ad)ventures

Eight of Pentacles (Coins)
finances are a perceived block - we often blame our imobility on finances. try to be creative with your money issues - don't let a perceived lack hold you back from pursuing a course of action that feels right. this is also the apprentice card – perhaps a way for you to learn from a master while still retaining financial balance. eight is a strong number for balance and possibility – strength. it can be a time of trial as you learn new things, but hard work and letting your mind expand will pay off. again, a good time to start a new venture. one source i use gives the phrase “melding ancient and future knowledge” with this card – sounds exciting - perhaps related to a new project or course of study

Death
your sun sign of scorpio may have given you the proclivity to penetrate the cycle of death and rebirth. now is a time to delve deeper into these mysteries. you have an innate knack for perceiving esoteric truths, so you will need to find advanced teachers to help you reach further. you also have an innate ability to reinvent yourself, and this will help you greatly in the months to come. a time of transformation and the shedding of illusions, if you are willing.

The Hanged Man
this card implies that you have given yourself the necessary rest and introspection to undertake this journey. you have taken the time to search for inner guidance and it has served you well. you have set down strong roots that allow you to move in and out of this world. a time of sacrifice has set the stage for your current crossroads.

Two of Swords (reversed)
again, a crossroads. old ideas are clashing with glimmers of the new. will you use the swords to cut away the old? or to block the way for the new? necessity of compromise – reversal signifies allowing intellect to overrule compassion, which could set you out of stride and cause clashes within your circle.

Six of Swords
very positive – coming throught the other side of your test – at least grasping the intellectual part. great possibility of success. a trip or change of scenery possible this summer.

Queen of Hearts (Cups)
one goal of this journey is developing more love and compassion, getting in tune with the feminine energies of intuition and psychic powers. a time of creativity, artistry, imagination. you may also be more vulnerable. be (very) careful of giving yourself away – to others,to ideas that don’t sit fully true with you, or through leaking your energy with drugs/alcohol.

Prince of Wands
others see you as bright, fiery, humorous (all three definitely!) – you are perceived as a mover, and this perception could serve you well in a new business venture if all your ducks are in order. a rambunctious male child – again, family planning! you could receive information or assistance from a charismatic man that will help you with your plans and/or put you into a position of leadership. this may relate to your grandfather.

Seven of Hearts (Cups)
spiritual love is the goal, though you are having difficulty making this decision fully and completely committing to it. beware of making hasty decisions or expedient ones. use your intellect to balance your (newly unearthed abilities of) intuition, and check your heart/soul’s quiet signs. most importantly, don’t let outside pressures influence you to take a course you don’t feel comfortable with. and again, be careful of letting yourself dissipate restless energy through substance use/abuse.

The Moon (reversed)
drawing upon energies from deep within. the inspiration and vision to see beyond the mundane. a tricky card. the strength of emotions here (that you have worked to open up) could swallow you if you do not remain fully aware and in control of your choices/decisions. it can can pull you either up or down, depending upon how you conduct yourself in the areas above. if you can maintain the balance between intutition/intellect, female/male, yin and yang – knowing when is the correct time to call upon each aspect – then you will have parted the veils to reach a much greater and deeper understanding of the answers you are seeking. if not, you could be in trouble. i think your chances are very good of succeeding, of shedding old illusions and forging ahead with a whole new bagful of tricks. if you can harness and tap into this energy you will find wells of creativty that are unexpected. again, be careful of letting yourself be taken advantage of – at work, home, physically or spiritually.

change change change - and balance. wow, what a summer. fascinating cards and fascinating placements. best of luck to you, pixie!

XB

p.s. I actually use pretty much the same spead as you – i just don’t refer to the significator as 1, hence... ten cards rather than 11 – seems there are a gazillion ways to lay a celtic cross. but it's my favorite by far.

Thank you so much for the time and insight you put into this for me. I appreciate it more than you know.. and yes, indeed, you gave me a different perspective from which to interpret the cards. I had hoped someone would respond to this configuration of cards, as it did seem important to me. Which is why I posted this one.
You are a dream to have spent all this energy on me. I appreciate it so much!
Thank you
I was thinking along the lines of an affair for 'escape' as opposed to drugs/alcohol.. although those are definately a feature in my brain right now. I am living my second adolescence, as my son is now nine, my daughter three, and I am apparently reverting to childhood myself, I feel it is a necessary revolution. I come to it from a perspective of an adult who did things all too soon. So I know part of this is necessary. I have too much love in my life, from too many sources. It must come to a climax, a resolution. I do nothing out of malice, just a pure, wandering need to find what speaks to me on an inner level. I find it then it goes. I must find out how to continually renew the resources, and I know it rests inside myself. But I'm not ready to face it yet.
Today is about study and soul crushing revelations. Death does that I suppose.

Thank you so much for your time and the love you have shown.
I hope your day is wonderful!
