Doing a reading for myself, or getting a "virtual reading" free online? I would think doing it myself would be better, since I could physically touch the cards...what do you all think?

You can have good readings from any source, if you feel 'tuned in' and you feel it is a reflection of what was right for your question.. You can do this walking down the street, interacting with a stranger, any number of un-divine sources.
But to actively seek an answer, to let it be a part of your journey, there is nothing better than holding the cards in your hands, tuning yourself in to the serene moment and opening up your mind. It is a meditation and a promise to listen to your higher consciousness. It is a special sacred moment.
If it is an answer you are seeking, you will find it anywhere, as long as you open yourself up to the possibility. If it is an experience into knowing yourself on a different level-, feel, smell, touch, taste and open up that third eye. Trust yourself and have a moving experience.

I used the I Ching method.
I find when using I Ching, it addresses the nuances of the situation, through 'moving lines' and then answers the core question through the final answer. Often one line in an entire reading will be very beneficial. I used the translating author's words, as they are more specific, and applicable.

Wow, double wow Pix.

The first two parts of *38 puzzle me. I don`t understand how it fits with the question/letter. Any insight there?
The third * of 38 is part and partial of the question/spiritual help looked for it hits the nail on the head.

64 indicates the impatience I feel for the person to sh*t or get off the pot so to speak. I have been urging it be done asap but the person is taking it slow and dragging it out. I`m reading into this, for the good of all, don`t push it! Bide my time, be patient to have it done to see benefit from it.

Is that a close understanding ? Insight from you please

I believe I chose the wrong book to use for you... I chose 'The Lover's I Ching'.. This is the traditional one, and it seems to make more sense in relation here...
same moving lines.. similar message, different context.
Estrangement.
Disagreement. Separation. Isolation.
