I really would like a set of tarot cards,a set thats really colourful, well designed and appeals to my senses can anyone recommend a deck for me to start with? Does anyone in here practice Cartomancy with normal playing cards? Dominoes are great for divination.

There are many different Tarot styles. Some of them are quite surprising and most quite beautiful. It can be a tough decision; just go with what resonates with you.

Greetings...

3 ...
Just Google Tarot cards and you will be led to many, many sites that display a large variety of decks... many of which allow you to see samples of those decks online.

You are definitely on the right track when you say that the deck must appeal to you. It is a very personal thing, choosing a deck. I have many different decks that I use for different purposes... perhaps a system such as that would work well for you.

One deck I use only for meditation. Others I use for readings for various types of people... I am either guided by my intuition or I allow the person to choose the deck I read when I work with them and one deck I use when I am Teaching Tarot. I think you get the idea.

I personally love the Morgan-Greer deck, The Robin Wood deck and the Hanson Roberts deck... which are all different views on the Waite-Rider deck.

Blessings and bright wishes that you find a deck that speaks to your Soul!

A

This is a great site to check out decks.
www.usgamesinc.com/tarot/

They have tons of different cards to choose from on this site!

I f you would like a reading done by a member of a Mystery School such as BOTA.Check out the Tarot.com website. They have different readers for different decks used there.

Thanks for the advice, I actually got myself some cards the other day, I bought the original Rider Waite cards but I think it is the more colourful version.
