I thought I should share this anecdote, so other people could learn from my mistake.

When I first got tarot card's I irresponsibly was doing readings for a friends family. I didn't get the notion of a "private" reading and was doing readings for them in front of one another. The younger brother drew the devil in his reading, and I read from a book how it represents the subconscious and vices and sexual things etc..at this point he suddenly asked his mom about a "gay pride" parade in san francisco, which was utterly blatant to his mother, she said "WHY are you asking about that," at which point I probably turned red. The power of the tarot had tapped into his subconscious and ripped his sexuality to the surface, in front of his family, which was EXTREMELY embarassing for me. I should have known better, because I intuitively knew that he was gay.

Anyway, the lesson here is, tarot is a PRIVATE reading. Online is ok because its anonymous

BlueRoamer, Bluemoon, Sue g,
Thanks for sharing, that's very true. Another thing I prefer to do, is, if you have a mate and are committed, to do the reading together, for both of them. That way they can work on things together.
Otherwise, I ususally see conflicts, separately.
Does that make any sense, lol, gee, I'm mentally exhausted, today.

I haven't been doing any readings, I'm just in overload, and lots of strange things are happening to me, and I'm a little scared. I know, have no fear, don't worry, my chin is up.
Remember Charlotte's Web? That makes me happy, he's terrific.

Lotus, Sue is so right, you must keep that power for yourself. YOu seem to need it now. You will have enough to share again.

A fiend of mine use to do tarot readings for people. She did it for her grandfather and the death card came up. She didn't want to tell him but he said it was ok that she could tell him. She told him.

2 weeks later he died.

Ever since then she doesn't do readings anymore.

the Death card, my higher self has told me to never ever predict death, never speak those words. The death card represents new life, completely different than the one you are living, a rebirth in a sense.
There is no death for the soul, our soul goes on...

Please, anyone out there doing readinds Death can be marriage, divorce, new job, or living in a new place, It is a new way of living, and leaving the past behind.

yeah, a girl in highschool would do them in class for everybody who wanted a reading. She gave me a reading and one of the cards she pulled up meant depression. ( I forget which one it was??any guesses?? This was a long time ago)*I'll admitt I wasnt going through too hot a time @ that period

But wow BR, based on your situation it would most DEFINATELY make sense to do private readings. *edit*What really got the first time I ever got a tarot reading was how accurate it was. I mean, I used to dismiss tarot cards as fake.

the uni-corn is bringer of
dissillusionment
false information
especially to females

whenever a unicorn pops into my vision
I know the info is false
I reverse it
to get to the Truth
we can learn to live with
these polarities
and create balance
I'm currently working on this
and it is qiute difficult
to be occulted by many kinds
of forces, and find your
way through the maze and haze
out of your daze
wake up
hehe

Angel cards sound lovely doGStar
I have Linda's Cards too!
I really like them

Love and Light to ALL

Yesterday, my sister asking me for a reading. I obliged with our other sister in the room, and it became the most confusing and draining reading ever. I didn't like doign it that way, it seems the connection was bad.
