I finally got a set of tarot cards! When I was younger (maybe 13?) I had a set of tarot cards I was absolutely intrigued by. They came in a magazine I used to get, you know kind of kiddish. (like the sun card was just a big smiling yellow sun) But they worked pretty well, surprisingly.

Well I got my new set for christmas from my mom, and she told me to be careful with them and study all about them before I did a reading (for myself).

Of course I didn't really study them (still a little in doubt--I never really thought about the tarot), I just flipped to the different spreads and I tried the one that seemed easiest. I asked a question about my boyfriend & me.

The card I got that represented him was the Knave of Cups. That card shows a young man (up to early 20's--he is 20) who has dark hair and is a water sign. My boyfriend has dark hair and his sign is Scorpio.

The card I got that represented me was The Empress. That card showed a fair-haired woman of an air sign, who is a homemaker. I still live at home, but My mother just got a new job so I have to take care of my siblings by myself for a few extra hours. Also the card showed Luxury and recieving money. A few days before Christmas my grandparents sent me 1000 dollars and I had bought SO many expensive things. Mostly clothes and christmas gifts.

What do you guys think about Tarot Cards? Any stories?

In terms of the page or knight of Cups being a water sign, that is correct.

However, The Empress is not so much an Air sign, as the Planet Venus, in Astrological correspondence. Venus does happen to rule Libra (for now) which is an Air sign, but Venus also rules Earthy Taurus.
