YAY!!! It was a birthday gift to me from a friend, which was really nice, because I've been looking for a set of Tarot cards for months now. I'm very picky, and wanted just the right set, and was looking & looking, trying to decide which would be the right one for me, what images I might want on it, what style, etc., so this was good; it ended the indecision!!

So, she got me this set, and it comes with a little book with some interpretations:

Has anyone used this one before? What did you think? Do you have any advice for me on how to get started, or how to use it? (I'm a total newb., when it comes to Tarot, so I'd appreciate any help at all!!)

Thanks much, Amisha!!

Do you do Tarot too? What pack do you use?

I'm so excited, and can't wait to get started doing actual readings. I did a simple Timing question today (i'm not sure what to call it, as I'm more used to horary questions and their terminology), and I got an answer that sat right with my intuition & confirmed what recent horary charts have said, so I was really excited!! I'm LOVING the magic of Tarot!!

Oooh, it occurred to me that I don't know how to interpret yet, and maybe just using a book isn't the right thing to do. What do you all do initially - do you use a book to help with interpretations, or go on your intuition, or both? I was just using the book that came with my Tarot cards.

So, I asked about when an event is likely to occur, and my book said to use 2, 3, or 4 of the Minor Arcana suit, and try drawing up to 13 cards until you get your answer. So I drew 4 cards, and then the Two of Swords turned up. My book says that the Swords cards refer to spring months, and that Two indicates March. Does this sound alright?
