i was hoping to catch you back on the thread about linda's b-day that thorshammer posted regarding your explanation as to why tarot and kabala do not stop at 52 like numerology bascially does.

you obviously are very well versed with tarot and kabala. i am not so much.

can you give me some in-depth meaning to the number 53. i did a bit of research on what the cards are for 5 & 3 & 8. the heirophant, the empress and strength. all my reading, at this point, will not be able to give me what experience and "time" has taught you.

i would greatly appreciate any insight.

I had tried to respond to this earlier on UC, but my whole reply was deleted in some strange way.

I will give you some of the correspondences that I know for the number 53, but you will have to sit with the information, meditate on it and see what, if anything it means to you. That is your homework.

53 as you have mentioned is a picture of the Empress (3) working through the agency of the Hierophant (5). The Empress is the symbol of Creative Imagination and the Hierophant represents Intuition or "Inner Hearing".

Astrologically we have Jupiter (3) working with Mercury (5). This implies several possibilities: writing and publishing. Higher education or travel related to same. It can also show an abundance (Jupiter) of mental energy (Mercury) such that if undirected or not limited in some way (8 - Saturn) could lead to scattering of energies; spinning of the wheels so to speak.

As you mention, 53 reduces to 8, Strength. Strength is the Law of Suggestion: subconsciousness is amenable to suggestion. If you utilize the Creative Imagination (3 - The Empress) to visualize a goal that might be prompted by the wee Inner Voice (5- The Hierophant) and make the appropriate suggestions to your S-elf, you will attain success.

Remember also that 8 is Saturn, astrologically speaking, and this implies the limitation or control required to "restrict" or "limit" the scattering of energies suggested by the pairing of Jupiter and Mercury. 8 is a number of Fate and Karma, but can imply ambition and success if things are built from the ground up, as it were.

53 is also associated with the Knight of Swords, which also can be read as travel for education. It also implies an assertive temperament, showing a youth girded for battle with sword extended. Remember.. direct the energy represented by the Sword (intellect, communication) and success will be attained.

Now, this is not ALL that can be discrened from the number 53, but I think it should provide you with the beginning information. Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to ferret out what all of this might mean to you.

I wasn't implying that at all. The mysterious reason was that I forgot to enter my username/password, but when I hit the back arrow.. my post had gone into the great abyss.

I have had the password thing happen before, but usually the back arrow brought my text back with it.

thank you for the insight. i read it a couple of days ago and i wanted to sit pm it before i responded.

i have a tendency to act first then think which is not always so bad since it then removes the "ego" from getting in the way i what i feel.

sometimes, though, i need to take the space within. the meanings of 5, 3 and 8 fit right in to some other signs that i have seen of late. a corw and a cooper's hawk flying together. not just once but twice on two different days.

i have meditated on that as well as the 53 and both run congruent within my life. very profound and beautiful are the messages.

no longer is it to believe it is to KNOW that i have WON NOW. i am not saying that this comes with no work for the work is part of what is at hand.

it truly is time for me to trust that inner voice, to be one with my higher S-elf and to pay attention. go with what makes me happy and know it is with regards to staying on the pth of LIght and LOve.

as for the fisrt post "disappearing", it ALL happens for some reason or other. do you work with astrological charts as well? i am going to pick up some of the suggested reading linda has in star signs.
