I've had cards read to me many times by different tarot readers and not one of them predicted the future correctly in all aspects of my life. Sometimes they predict a job change for example, but as for love not one of them got it correctly. According to one I saw in 2003 by now I should be married and have a four year old daughter, and I'm not even close to married. They usually get the past and present right, but the future no. What do you think? Is it that tarot can't really predict the future or that these readers just couldn't read correctly? How far into the future can tarot predict? A year? Five? Ten?
Another for example said that I would find a boyfriend where I studied. There was a guy that liked me at school but I didn't like him one bit, zero attraction on my part, so maybe what she saw was a guy that liked me and interpreted that as a future boyfriend. I would appreciate it if you can give me some insight. Thanks!

Aselzion may disagree, and I would love to see his take on this, but I feel that any medium for prediction shows the most likely outcome given current circumstances. Things are still open to being influenced by free will, and the further along one tries to go in the stream of time, the less accurate those predictions (unless more global in nature) can be, because there are far too many variables that can change. There are countless alternate outcomes, and which stream we flow into depends a lot upon our choices, although, in the near future, the most likely of those outcomes can be prognosticated with reasonable accuracy. Just my take on it.

Greetings...

Not an easy question to answer, but here goes:

It depends.

Divining the future is a risky business at best, because the reader is looking at a limited timeline. Usually, a question is asked, the cards are dealt, and then the fun begins.

Past activities tend to show up fairly well, because basically, they have already transpired and left some sort of an energetic trail that can be fairly accurately read.

The present is also pretty easy, cuz, let's face it, you are there looking for a reading, usually for a reason.. although occasionally, idol curiosity will often be the case. But, the present is really evolving from the past, and generally events or thoughts or emotions that are attendant to these issues should be pretty easy to see in the cards.

The Future however, is NOT set in stone. Readers Gifts will vary in their ability to see, hear or feel, or just "know" where the past and the present may lead. But this is really only a projection of the timeline that is already in motion. If you make any changes, if an event occurs that necessitates a different choice on your part... the timeline will shift, and the reading will now seem to be incorrect.

As there is really no Time.. and we do have Free Choice... at best predictions are "iffy". All things being equal, and no changes in CHOICE ocurring on the part of the querent, should produce fairly accurate results. But again, Time is an illusion... so whether we see 1 month, 1 week or 1 year into the "future" <or even beyond> is hard to judge, particularly with the Tarot. There is no "set" way to interpret TIME that I know about via the Tarot, though there may be indications as to Signs, or seasons or even significant numbers that may play a role.

Dunno if that helps... but feel free to ask more questions if I am not being as concise as you require.

Blessings...

Randall / Aselzion,
Thank you. That was very clear! I understand more. I guess it's as if, for example, a reading tells you to be extra careful cause you might have an accident; so to avoid the accident you are careful and nothing bad happens. It wouldn't be an incorrect reading, just that your actions changed a potential future event.

Whoa! That time stamp was freaky! Maybe it's a sign that we are seeing eye-to-eye on the issue. Great reply, by the way.

That's because, as Aselzion stated, you can always change your future... free will choice; because ultimately it's within you to change the outcome, especially if you have already been told by some medium what's ahead. I concur with you, Aselzion, I also think it also depends as to how much the medium is gifted. I mean, some people are simply just so gifted they can just look at you and KNOW

I love going to a psychic. I had a reading done about 12 years ago and she was pretty accurate. Even told me I'd have minor surgery on my stomach soon. Sure enough, 2 months later I had my gall bladder removed.

Then I thought I found another psychic who felt more like a therapist then anything. But since I left with such a good feeling, I went back to her a few years later. As I was sitting there I realized that she was reciting some kind of memorized speech. Then I just left angry.. $40 to see her lol.. ugg.

So I'm sure there's more fakes then the real thing..
