i got inspired by PiscesGirl's post in the other forum.

i've been wanting to get a deck for a few years... but it looks a bit complicated.

i've been doing tarot for 10 years and although i don't use it as often now, i like the results i get with tarot. over the years my deck lost one card, i think 8 of Swords? but since it's a minor card i still use the deck. i love my cards...

but i thought i can give it a try with another card divination tool too, for fun. i also love the images on Mdm Lenormand cards. very poetic.

i just want to hear what everyone think of it. do you like it, is it really hard to learn, etc... thanks!

i have been more in to cartomancy than tarot for quite some time. and i find it very to the point. but there is a complication that the cards are interpreted with respect to its position in the spread and what other cards surround it. same goes for this too, i do not know much about this deck yet, but its really Cool, please let me know too if you find a source to learn it or how to spread the cards and all

Thank you

Oooohhh! I got one! Just the major one though, with 36 cards. I hear she also had a full 52 card deck but I can't find any books on it

I love it, I feel it's such a simple deck, it pretty much says what it says. I'm just not happy with them today, I always get the coffin close to my personal card and in the light of the cards I drew for myself yesterday, I don't like it there. But hey, it could signify change, which is pretty much the main theme of my life I realized today

Nah, I adore Lenormand cards, especially for the images on the cards and its simplicity! The only difficult thing I feel is how to interpret the combination of cards. They are all combinable, but I seem to have difficulty figuring out the context in which to combine them. E.g. with the coffin I drew for myself today, it appeared twice in combination with the dog, which could suggest change in friends (with the garden it points to social circles too) but it can so easily be misinterpreted

Edit:

These are the cards that I use. I think they're printed by a Dutch company, called Schors Uitgevery.

These are the ones I used before, I believe they are printed by Carta Mundi and if I'm not mistaken, that's even in Belgium (albeit just about). I find those images a bit gloomy, tbh

ooow i didn't check here for a while.

nice, i'm trying to decide which one of the below to get now...

an old German deck

Italian deck from Lo Scarabeo

Another deck from Lo Scarabeo

i like the first one, because it's very simple. i like the primitive look and simple designs tend to stick better than overtly decorative stuff that i might get bored of eventually...

the second deck i like, because of the slightly modern look (the clothes of the man and woman look 20th century!) but i don't like the dark frame and the back design. so i probably won't get these.

the last one is very neutral from every aspect of it...
