Dear Tarot-inclined knowflakes,Do you do Tarot readings for yourself? If so, do you find yourself losing track of what readings you've done when? Have you asked the same question over again and get confused on how to interpret them? Are there good, simple spreads one can do for oneself, that someone can suggest for me? I usually do them on the fly for whatever Q I'm trying to answer, or occasionally find spreads online, but I find those sketchy on details sometimes (one card to represent a concept doesn't seem enough). Anyhow, please share your experiences reading for yourself, and any suggestions you may have. Thanks! Sunshine IP: Logged |

I believe we should rather get an exchange, that's better than doing it for ourselves.we are never unbiased, because the matter is always important, otherwise we won't ask the question IP: Logged |

I like online readings.. it's still sychronicity! (or however you spell that, my spell check says that's wrong.) But, when I feel the need to read for myself, I keep it simple, no more than 3 cards, or else I will twist them to mean what I want. It's human nature I think.

What GW said. The fewer the cards the better. I use one that falls out of the deck or three (past/present/future).------------------ I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be. IP: Logged |

What works best for me is just to close my eyes and keep shuffling till a card falls.IP: Logged |

That's a great idea, LBA.. I'm still fairly a newb though. I just started cutting my teeth on the thread Pixelnoire started in PR, so perhaps I'll learn. Thank you much for the Lenormand reading!! I've left feedback & questions in your thread. Much love, Sunshine IP: Logged |

I do too, Gyps.. Some of them are good enough to interpret the cards in the context, but when I get anxious, I don't know where to turn, where to get readings that are more specific to my situation. Perhaps I should try the 3 card readings - do you mean the Past, Present, Future one? Sunshine aka Sunny IP: Logged |

I like that idea.. I'll try that, thanks! Question - how long a period does "Future" cover in the 3 card readings? Is it 6 months or until something changes? Sunshine IP: Logged |

Hey Sunshine I don't read for myself, it's absolutely disasterous when I do most of the time, unless I am doing a general major arcana overview and not asking an emotionally fueled question. As for the 3-card spread, I think it depends on the matter, and it also seems to change from person to person. For instance, I only use mine for about 3-month outcomes. The more elaborate spreads cover about 6 months for me. IP: Logged | |
